Dear Nina,
*yawns* I'm exausted. I just got back from Betsy's party, which was over at 11:00 PM, but I still had to get picked up, drive home (my mom drived, of course), and take a shower. This is a pretty late entry if you ask me. So you wanna here about my day before the party? Okay! Well, today was the last day of "Spirit Week" and today was Warrior Pride day. The "Warrior" is my school's mascot, and we were supposed to wear "Warrior" colors like yellow and purple. I didn't, of course. But that's okay. Anyway, we took a test in Social Studies (Unit Test) and a test in Language Arts (Quiz/Test). We also dissected a chicken wing in Science. EWW! It's my first time acually dissecting something, and it was kind of cool. But gross, in a way.
After school, was the dance so most of the kids were still in school when Betsy's mom picked us up. It was Aisha, Betsy, and I. Ariana didn't come until later. When we arrived at Betsy's house, she introduced us to her family and gave us a tour around the house (it's a pretty house). We also watched TV downstairs while we waited for Ariana. Then Betsy's brothers came home from school. Wow, they just walked in without any confusion why we were in their house. *shivers* But they really are nice, nicer than my ugly brother. And they acually help and not tease Betsy at all. My brother would just annoy me if I had friends over. We also played in Betsy's room and ate pizza in the kitchen. When Ariana came, we were all happy, especially Ariana herself (she was SO excited). We got in the car and drove to the the Skating Place. While driving their, we played games in the car and pretended we all fell asleep for some fun.
At the Skating Place, it was like really fun! We stayed their for 4 hours straight. After slipping on my rollerblades, I ran non-stop to the rink place. (It was indoors.) It was so fun! At first, I was really bad, but I didn't fall at all. After like an hour, I was getting better. After two hours, I was really good. After 3, I was already a pro and faster than Betsy, Aisha, and Ariana. Betsy was pretty much experienced while Ariana was like me but a little bit worst. Aisha on the other hand, didn't participate that much. Maybe for an hour though. She was so tired, that she just sat out for most of the time and drank water. I would go around the rink one time, and come back and ask if Aisha was okay and talked to her just to entertain her. I did this for about 20 times, no kiddin. Anyway, Ariana, Betsy, and I, oh and also all of Betsy's other friends (alot) that came to the Skating Place by theirselves, all did tricks together. I made alot of friends because Betsy's friends are nice like her. We would hold each other's hand and rollerblade around the rink. There were these professionals like rollerblading around with one foot, doing tricks, spinning. Wow, they were good. Most of them worked there. They were probably good because whenever they had free-time, they probably would go skating. Af 9:45 PM, we got ready to leave, and my feet and legs hurt badly. I had many injuries. One of them is my knees. When Ariana and I were racing, she fell down because she was going to fast and I tripped over her causing my knee to crash onto the ground. It's not as bad as it sounds. My legs were also hurting because the rollerblades kind of were loose and they were tired of moving. And my toes hurt the most. My rollerblades bearly fitted me and were hurting my toes like crazy. I half expected them to be all red.
Most of us were worried about Aisha though. She's been awake the whole time even though she said she was tired, and didn't even skate. She's the type of person who would choose fun over boredom. What was wrong with her? Well she did say it was cold in there, but it was hot. I mean I was like sweating! She was shivering too. The whole party was mostly sad because she was sad. Almost everybody at the party asked if Aisha was okay and conforted her (Betsy has some pretty good friends). I felt bad for Aisha too. In the car, Ariana started getting sad too. She said she felt depressed. But why? Wasn't she just having a fun time? I really don't know. Maybe it's because the party was almost over. And not to mension it made me sad too because I still remember Ariana's face when she first arrived at Betsy's house, all excited and happy. So Betsy and I tried to sing "Openings" of cartoons (such as Spongebob Squarepants, Scooby Doo, etc.) to cheer everyone up in the car on the way back. It didn't work. We got to Betsy's house at like 10:30 PM. And I had 30 minutes to play with them! But we just watched TV. Ariana and Aisha seemed a little bit happier, but not really. Then my mom picked me up at 11:15 PM. I guess it was pretty fun, but I expected it to be alot funner. But that's okay, Aisha wasn't in the mood. It was a bad day for her, as well for Ariana. I guess I'll have to rate it a 7. It was fun, but could have been funner if everyone was happier, like in Jordan's. By the way, Betsy loved her gift!
P.S. They had loud music at the Skating Place, just like the dance, and the same music.
