Hello and welcome to Keba's Anime and Manga Place (KAAMP for short)! Here at KAAMP, I write about anime and manga that I have seen/read as well as my views on them. I'll also post about my original stories from time to time.

Just beware that some of my posts contain spoilers. I'll put them in spoiler tags just in case.

KAAMP's history: KAAMP was created in July 2002 by yours truly. It was a sloppy-looking website on Yahoo's now defunct Geocities. I posted my anime fan art on that site. Also, for a time, I posted my thoughts on the few anime series that I had seen. Now that I look back on it, my thoughts were rather ill-informed (is that even a word?) because I had only seen bits and pieces of anime dubs. Now that I've seen more series, I think that my commentary on various anime will be a little better than before.

So, come on in and stay awhile! KAAMP is now in session.

Starting Arting

I know "arting" isn't a word. I just thought it would be cute to make a rhyming title. I'm so not funny.

At the place where I work, there are a lot of people who like to do artistic stuff (which has nothing to do with our jobs). So, we formed a little after-work art club. A lot of us had the same goal: we all wanted motivation to draw more.

I actually sketched something that day! It was the main character in the story I've been planning for, like, three years. If you're wondering, no, I haven't made any progress with the actual story.

Speaking of my stories, I wrote a little bit more of Destination. I know it's a corny story, but there was something very therapeutic about writing it. The story arc that I'm writing is drawing to a close, but it ends on an uncertain note, and I have yet to write that part. I just want my OCs to catch a little break before I torture them again.

It's so weird juggling three-- or possibly four-- stories. Sometimes I feel like writing one. Sometimes I want to draw characters from another. Most of the time, I just think about them and try to develop them.

What I'd love to do is make a webcomic. I just don't know which story I could adapt to that format. Plus, I lack the artistic skills. And the time management skills.

Just to end this post on a positive note, I started digitally sketching a pair of album cover parodies. I hope I get them done soon because I can't wait to present them here.

Crazy Idea

I know you guys haven't heard from me in some time. That's because I haven't felt like writing much. But now I have inspiration.

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I came up with a new story idea about 15 minutes ago. The set-up is that there's this girl who's kind of a social outcast, that reads comics to escape from her lonely life. One morning, she finds the hero of her favorite comic, fully materialized, in her room. At first, it seems like only she can see him, but it turns out that this same phenomenon has happened to other people who are reading the comic series. And that's mostly what I have in terms of the idea. Oh, and the people who can see these characters can only see the ones that they've read about.

I just wanted to jot that down in case I forget.

Seriously, though, I'm coming up with too many complicated ideas. I still have The Rebels of Planet Aadau and Destination to write. And then there's that plot-less story about mythological creatures. Plus, I have to come up with the next arc in Survival Instincts. So basically, my plate is pretty full in regard to story ideas.

A Weird Dream + Other Stuff

A couple nights ago, I had an anime dream. The anime in question was Cowboy Bebop, oddly enough. In this dream, I was with Ed (or maybe I was Ed because I could see things from her vantage point at times) and we were trying to hide from Spike because we stole his Mario and Luigi plushies. Or something. It was very strange.

In case you were wondering, Mission: Nothing Is Impossible is nearly complete. I just need to track down The Fluffy Vest. It looks as though I might have to buy the vest and fluff separately and put them together. My problem is finding the right vest in the right size. I found one on eBay that was almost perfect (fluff included!), but I think it's two sizes too small. There was another that was in my size, but I hesitated to buy it because of the price. The listing ended a couple of hours ago, but I hope the seller re-lists it.

I plan to do another Livestream soon. I'm drawing something kind of ambitious and I think I need advice and tips as I go. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, I mentioned a plotline I came up with some time ago. You know, the "Naruto in reverse" one? I'm having a hard time developing a story around it. Especially since I don't want that to be the main plot of the story. I have a kind-of vision for the type of setting and characters, but nothing solid. It's driving me crazy. I might make a separate post about it in the future. I REALLY should work on my existing stories instead of making up new characters.
