Animu and Mango

Hey everyone! I know, I know... I barely post and if I get in the chat, I disappear after a few seconds... Or after a few moments of silence. I blame the chat and our faulty internet for disconnecting me. > >

Anyway, I recently restarted watching Higashi no Eden. Since the last fansub group (Lunar) that I was getting it from stopped working on it or something, I decided to get it from any group out there that is not offering wide screen in MKV. My computer at home can't process them that well. > > Probably a processor thing, for it is well fed with RAM and Video Card.

The one that I got now is from Darksoul Subs. After watching one episode to continue where I left off... I was displeased with the subbing quality. I am thinking to download another batch or something from another group. I think I should go to Des' comparison of fansubbers for this one... I just need to dig through his posts.

Anyway, I was highly amused on opening episode 8 with a Akira shouting "Johnny!" I missed poking fun at Higashi no Eden for the Johnny's. XD

In other stories, my sister informed me that another store offered manga for sale. :D

I checked out the titles - mostly from Tokyo Pop. Some were completely unfamiliar to me, specially those made by Koreans. I noted to myself to call them graphic novels. I managed to buy Cowboy Bebop Vol. 2 and .hack Legend of the Twilight Vol. 1.

The Legend of the Twilight Volume didn't seem to be in perfect condition, with a few, uh... scratches, on the cover. I had no choice. It was the only copy there. Either I hope for another one (with the chances of not being able to acquire it) or not take it at all. I decided to take it.

I learned that the Cowboy Bebop manga was a re-make from another author based on the series, and it was released immediately after the anime, and the movies and the 3-part manga, before the series became famous. I'm thinking of it as a published fan comic. :P

The .hack manga was chosen thanks to Miss Anonymous. She told me some time ago that the manga was not bad - compared to the anime version. I read a few chapters and it seems alright. I'm still confused with the .hack universe, for I haven't finished a single series of it. .hack//roots is still waiting in line for me to download it.

I am currently shaking my fist at my torrent of Darker than Black. It has stopped seeding at episode 14. D:

While it may be true that I can watch it on-line (and in English) at the official site, I can't watch it here that well, plus I'd rather watch it at home. And my sister is also watching it - and prodding me for the next episodes.

I tried searching for the individual episodes to no luck. I guess I should have downloaded them earlier? I don't know... So, I'm stuck at episode 14. At least I'm thankful that it wasn't at a cliffhanger. Heh.

Well, that's all for now. See you around!
