Lol my friend's travelling 8 hours for a con this weekend. We're staying at a hotel so we don't have to worry about extra transport. XP I think you should make a massive deal about it at least once to see what it's like. ^^ Then you'll see what a pain in the ass it is and never want to go again. XD
Maybe you could become the Grand Anime Convention Master of Naga City...?
...but going on Missy's point, at least you don't have to experience the negative sides of conventions such as Mariya-esque traps, foul-smelling con-goers, crazy crowds and the many, many, many fantards... in person. D:
