I was expecting something

I opened the site yesterday expecting something with the site.

A sudden, and involuntary avatar change? An overhaul of the site's colors... or perhaps even shady-looking news... Nothing.

It could probably be because I'm in the future of most of you, but from this news (April Fools Roundup)... the site seems to be late on this event.

I am partly disappointed.

I might have missed it and ended up being the one who got fooled... Maybe.

Most Horrifying Morning

Warning: This post may contain descriptions that may not be for the faint of heart. This would have been a good day. I woke up early, got a chance to take a quick jog... and planned to brew coffee. I haven't been able to brew coffee in a ...

Achievement Unlocked!

Learned how to "properly" wire a local area network ethernet data cable the other day!

*insert fanfare here*

Anyway, the RJ45 connectorsof our data cable at home finally gave and could no longer allow proper connection, so I had to replace it. Fortunately for me, I already had the right tools - I just lacked the right knowledge.

I downloaded a diagram for the wire's color setting, and proceeded with the operation. Once I cut the wire, there was no turning back. I cut one end, placed the wire, cleaned and exposed the connections, and crimped the connection and wire. I then proceeded with the other end. I plugged it in the modem and PC and waited for the flash of green LEDs.

Nothing.

Frustrated, I cut the connectors and tried again. I must have placed a color wrong, I thought. I cut the wires, exposed the copper insides, and proceeded to crimp the connectors.

Unknown to me at that time, I should not have exposed the copper wires. It was unnecessary, and the reason of my fault. I found this out the next day when I asked some guys at the IT department at work about what to do...

That afternoon, I cut the wires, arranged the different colored wires, and crimped it down, praying and hoping that I got it right this time.

When I finished with the other end, and turned the modem on...

GREEN LIGHT! It is a "go"!

Well, that was fun.

See you around.

Hey Peoples

Hello everyone. I'm still alive! :D

Well, I managed to discover that I have internet in the PC again today, but it's so slow that even chat wouldn't load... I'm trying to update flash if that would help... but it seems to be taking forever.

At least I have connection, and that I can catch up on some stuff.

Yay! :D

hey people

As most of you were wondering... the test I posted yesterday was for verifying if I could post on the O using the device and connection I am on. It wold have been very frustrating if I had written a long write-up only to find later that it was unsupported...

The wifi connection I am on seems to be very strict with sites. Social networks and youtube is blocked... plus I am using opera for the Ds...

I don't have a fancy smart phone... so yeah. Thankfully there is a system that recognises handwriting or I would nave been too annoyead with tapping one letter at a time. But some letters are not easily recognized...

well, see you around.
