Story Update

Deni

I paced back and forth across the room. Where the fuck is she? I stopped and glanced at the clock. She was three hours late. I began to pace again just as the front door opened reviling Krista holding a soaking wet bundle.

"Krista? Why are you here? Rin's not here, she's late," She smiled and glanced down.

"Rin's right here," Came a voice from the bundle. I raised a confused eyebrow.

"Okay now I'm hearing things, the bundle is talking," Krista and the bundle laughed. Krista set down the bundle and then blanket soon slid down showing scared, wet looking Rin. I glared.

"Your late, you missed the whole damn party. Everyone left an hour ago. And I wore this damn suit thingy and you weren't even here to see it! Why?" I went off. Krista closed the door while Rin looked from me to here.

"Well um...you look very nice-," I cut her off.

"Flattery will get you nowhere with me,"

"Fine, I don't know. I was having second thoughts about showing up and then I just lost track of time. When I finally realized what time it was I tried to get here but then it started to storm and I got stuck. My phone wasn't working either or I would have called," I thought about but didn't see a since in pressing the issue.

"Fine, whatever but the next time if there is you better be here if I have to wear what you throw at me," Rin smiled and started to hug me but I guess thought better of it. I looked to Krista.

"Are you here to stay?" She looked at Rin. Rin looked at me and thought it would be alright and nodded.

"Well I'm tired and cranky and I love my sleep so I will be going to bed now. Behave you two, I don't want to hear anything I shouldn't," Rin blushed and I laughed walking upstairs toward my bedroom.

I closed my door and sighed. Tomorrow they better not expect me to be up early or anything. My weekend and I have no plans. I flopped onto my bed and was asleep before I knew it.

Rin

I curled up in Krista's arms on the couch.

"I truly don't know what I would do without you my love," My hand reached up and grabbed Krista's face to pull her down and kiss her.

"I'm never gonna let you go," Krista whispered against my lips. A tear rolled down my cheek.

Krista lightly pinched my chin and moved my face to lightly kiss the tear.

Deni

I woke up to a very quiet house. I glanced at the clock on my bed stand; it was only 10 in the morning. I threw the covers off me before sliding out of bed. I took a second to listen for any sound but found none.

"Why the hell is it so quiet?"I thought aloud. I shook my head and walked out of the room, walking towards Rin's. I slowly opened the door. I let a quiet 'oh', out and began to back out of the room.

Rin was curled up in Krista's arms sound asleep. Just as I had the door closed the front doorbell rang. I rushed down the stairs towards the front door.

"One second,"I yelled before I finally got to the door. I opened the door to find a girl about my age standing there.

The girl was gorgeous. She had long blue-black hair and sky blue eyes. I didn't realize I was staring till I noticed she was trying to speak. But then soon after I noticed then she began to fall forward. I stepped forward and quickly caught the girl before she hit the floor.

"Shit," I whispered. I picked the girl up and closed the door before caring the girl to my room. I gently sent the sleeping girl down before standing up.

"What now?" I spoke out loud. I decided to let the girl sleep but wrote a short note explaining some things. I set if down before I left quietly, closing the door behind me as I went. I walked towards the kitchen.

As soon as I was finished cooking Rin and Krista walked into the room.

"Something smells good Deni," I smiled.

"Thank you Rin, you both are welcome to have some. Theres plenty," Both Rin and Krista nodded before they began to make them self's plates.

We all sat down at the kitchen bar to eat. I tasted a it of my food before speaking.

"So you two slept late, whys that?" Rin spoke up.

"We were up late talking," I nodded. Rin was silent for a second before asking a question herself. "Why were you up so early?"

"Because it was too quiet," We all laughed but then I suddenly stopped.

"Hey," Rin and Krista looked behind them as I spoke. Standing in the Kitchen archway was the girl from earlier. She just ignored Rin and Krista's confused stares and looked straight at me.

"Hey," Her voice was sexy. She had a slight accent but I couldn't seem to place it at the moment. Rin looked at me then back to the girl.

"Deni? Earth to Deni?" I slowly dragged my eyes away from the girl to look at a confused Rin.

"Huh?" Rin pointed to the girl.

"Who is that?" I looked back to the girl.

"Her name is..." The girl smiled and answered for me.

"Kyla,"

Kyla

I could not stop staring at her. There was something about her that held my attention. The one girl that was talking looked at me.

"Well Kyla, why are you here?" She asked. I looked at her then pointed to the girl that I couldn't stop looking at. The girl looked back at the other girl.

"Deni why is she here?" Deni. I slowly repeated the girl's name in my head; I like it. Deni looked at the girl then shrugged.

"Rin, she knocked on the door then passed out when I opened it. I couldn't just leave her like that, I'm not that heartless," I smiled as Deni rambled on. The girl, Rin just looked at me with an odd look that I couldn't quite place. Rin looked at the girl sitting besides her and grinned.

"Krista..." The girl looked over and was met with a surprising kiss. Rin looked back at me as if looking for a reaction but she found none. I just smiled at the two.

"You two make a very cute couple," Krista blushed but smiled. Deni spoke up before Rin could say anything else.

"So Kyla, would you like something to eat?" I was going to say no but then my stomach betrayed me with a loud growl. Deni smiled and let out a soft laugh.

"I'll take that as a yes, here come sit down. I'll make you a plate," She got up and gestured to her own seat. I slowly made my way to the seat as Deni began making me a plate of food. As soon as she sat the food in front of me my mouth started watering. She smiled when she seen my look.

"Eat up Kyla, what would you prefer to drink? Milk, orange juice, water maybe?" I set my fork down from the small taste I had taken to answer.

"Orange juice would be just fine, thank you," Deni smiled and poured the drink, setting it in from of me before taking the empty seat next to me. It was a few minutes before anyone spoke up.

"What make you come knock on our door?" I stopped eating and looked up at the questioning Rin. I thought about it but came up blank myself.

"I don't really know," I answered truthfully.

"What do you mean you don't know? How could you not know?" She accused. I shrugged.

"I can't remember, the last clear thing I remember in waking up in Deni's bed," After I said that Rin looked at Deni with a look I didn't know.

"In your bed?' She finally asked.

"I didn't know where else to put her Rin and besides what does it matter where I placed her?," Deni said with a small shrug.

"You cold have put her in the living room or maybe the spare room Deni," I began eating again while the conversation wasn't on me. Deni glanced at me before looking at Rin.

"I didn't want her waking up to all of is out here in the living room and at the time I forgot about the spare," Rin must have decided to drop it or maybe save it for when I wasn't in the room. Deni looked back at me with a soft smile.

Rin

I continued eating slowly occasionally, ok constantly, glancing back and forth between Deni and...Kyla. 'Whats with her? Who the fuck does she think she is?' I though to myself then I transferred my glare to Deni. 'And whats with Deni too? Shes acting like there's not a total stranger in out house! What the hell?' I then turned my stare to Krista.

"I'm going up stairs, my love," Krista looked at me then put her fork down and stood up with me.

"No you stay and eat Krista," I said after I glanced at her full plate.

"You need to eat too Rin," She scolded me softly. "I've been watching," I knew exactly what she meant.

She'd been watching the fact that I hadn't eaten a single bite in almost three weeks.

"I will later," Not. "It's getting to crowed," I cast the new girl a dirty look when she yanked her gaze away from Deni to me. The look on her face was of utter shock. Yea I know I was being rude but she didn't belong here and and and...well she fucking bugged me.

"Rin," Krista pulled me out of my head. I looked suddenly lovingly on her worried face. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers. Her facial expression eased a little but I wanted to be sure she was okay. I used my free hand to cup her face and pulled her into a sweet but passionate kiss.

"You need to eat. Swear it to me," She whispered in my ear. "And be nice," Krista sat down after I quickly kissed her lips once more.

I decided to play with her so I leaned down to her ear. "I love you," I said just loud enough for her to hear.

Kyla

I quickly looked at Krista when she gasped. Rin had whispered something after the 'I love you' that had cause Krista's eyes to widen, face to turn red and jaw to drop.
Rin then turned and quietly walked out of the room.

"What the hell was THAT about!" Deni turned on Krista who'd quietly gone back to just staring at her food.

"I honestly have no idea." She looked at me then. "You will have to excuse her, she's not good with strangers." I nodded shakily, surprised that she was addressing me directly.

"Well that's no fucking excuse Krista!" Deni said almost yelling.

"Hey! Deni!" Rin's voice called from another room. "Get the fuck in here please and stop yelling at my girlfriend." Her voice sounded calm and that's what scared me even more.

"Fucking eavesdropper." Deni said as she got up. She causally leaned over and pecked my cheek with a soft kiss. We both froze at the unexpected action. I blushed as she pulled away awkwardly. For some odd reason I looked at Krista who was stifling a giggle.

Deni

I tried not to glance over my shoulder as I walked out of the kitchen leaving a giggling Krista and a blushing Kyla. 'What the hell?' I scolded myself, 'What made me do that to her? I don't even know her!'. I took a deep breath and tried to clam down before I had a panic attack from yelling at myself. I knocked on Rin's door.

"Come in Deni." She answered. I slowly pushed her door open to find Rin sitting in the chair in the corner of the room. I shut the door behind me and took my seat in her computer chair.

"Whats up?' I asked, glancing around. Rin's stare turned into a glare.

"What the hell Deni? Who is this Kyla chick and how come you two are all the sudden like close buddies?" I shrugged, 'Whats her deal?', I asked myself.

"I didn't know we were acting like 'buddies', I honestly know that much about her myself." I answered hoping it was good enough. I knew I was wrong.

"Then why is she in our house, eating out food and was sleeping in your bed?" I looked directly at Rin before answering.

"I don't know but there's something about her that I like. I'm going to find out more about her later and Ill tell you about it if you want." She just stared at me when I finished. "Okay then, Ill be going back to the kitchen now." I hurried out of the room, almost running back to the kitchen.

Krista

I brought Rin's plate up to the counter, 'Shes in going to make herself sick again', I thought wrapping her plate and putting it in the fridge. 'I will try again later', I turned at the sound of the sink turning on and dishes being rinsed.

"You don't have to do that you know." Kyla didn't look up when I spoke.

"Its the least I can do." I barely head her. She jumped when I took a wet dish off the counter and started drying it with a clean rag.

"Shes not always like this." She looked at me while I spoke.

"She doesn't eat much does she?" Curiosity leaked from her tone.

"No."

"You really love her don't you? I can see it in you eyes when you watch her more her food around on her plate." 'Damn this girls observant'. I couldn't believe what shed gotten out of me when I hardly said anything at all.

Deni

When I walked back in the kitchen Kyla and Krista were standing at the sink washing dishes. I sat down at the kitchens bar quietly, just watching the two. They weren't talking much but it looked as if they already had.

"You know you two don't have to do that right?" The both jumped and spun around to stare at me. Kyla placed a hand on her chest, breathing deeply.

"You scared the hell out of me Deni." I laughed as Krista nodded, agreeing with Kyla.

"Sorry, I've been sitting her for like the last five minutes though in silence. I had to say something, I was going crazy in the quiet." Krista laughed and spoke up.

"Yeah I can see you doing that, your not one to be very quiet for very long." Kyla laughed, I just grinned.

"What can I say? I come from a loud family!" We all laughed for a little bit till Krista slowly began to stop. She glance up stairs.

"Go see her, when I left she was just glaring at me." She smiled sadly and nodded, walking out of the kitchen. Kyla sat down in the seat across from me and sighed.

Kyla

Tension. That's all you could feel in this house. I hadn't even realized I sighed till Deni turned to me and asked me.

"Whats the sight for?" She looked at me and smiled softly.

"I didn't even realize I sighed." I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood a little.

"I do that all the time." She smiled. She had a great smile. I smiled back.

"Yeah." Deni nodded.

"Hey, I don't mean to be rude but where are you from? I mean I noticed your accent but I can really place it?" She asked softly. I smiled and shrugged.

"Well I born in Germany and grew up there till I was 11, then we moved to Russia till I graduated from high school. Then for college I moved to England." I explained.

"That is so not fair! I would love to travel to those places, I was born in Wisconsin but then we moved the Florida when I was 4 and so was there up until maybe a year and a half ago. But what are you doing in Canada now?" I frowned.

"You know, I really don't remember. The last thing I can really recall was visiting my friend and after that its all a little blurry. It really bugs me too." I explained, frowning.

"Wow, that sucks. Do you have anyway to go?" I shook my head.

"No, I barely remember even knocking on you door." She seemed to think about if for a moment before smiling.

"You can stay here then, we have a spare bedroom that we dont really use. I'll help you get on your feet." I didnt know what to say.

In Our World Chapter 1

As the rain poured on her new dress, she ducked into the overhang of a run down building. She gazed up at the falling sky and wondered if it would stop in time.

"Damn it" She groaned "I'm never going to get home in time"

She pulled her cell phone out of her pocket.

"Perfect. No reception." she sighed as she put her only hope away. "Devin's gonna kill me. Damn it."

She slumped to the floor leaning up against the rickety wall. She started to cry in desperation. What the fuck was she going to do? Cars zoomed past at random times soaking her again and again with mud and water. So when the bright blue head lights shown on the oppisite wall she braced herself. To her suprise, the yellow porshe stopped and the door swung open. She instantly recignized the car as her own and jumped in the passanger side.

"Krista. I-" She stuttered with tears in her eyes.

"Hey baby. You're late" Krista smiled at her. "We got to get you home and changed before Devin gets really pissed." Rin smiled and shivered. "The blanket is still back there."

"Thank you so much."Rin readched back and grabed the recently used blanket out of the back seat. She curled her knees to her chin and covered all but her head.

"You have no idea how much this means to me Krista. I am sorry for doing-"

"Its fine hun. I love you too much to let you freeze and never see you again."

They remained quiet the rest of the ride but Rin never took her eyes off her. When they pulled her into the driveway Krista went around and opened Rin's door and carried her into the house.
