"You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." --2 Corinthians 3:3

Senior Stuff
So considering I'm a rising senior, I got to take senior pictures today. A friend of mine is a really good photographer. She graduated from my school about three years ago and she's in college now so she's home for summer. It was easier taking pictures with her than it would've been with someone who worked at a studio--we had a lot more freedom. So it was my twin and I, our lovely photographer friend and then another friend who came to help out. We went all over town--we live in a really historic town--and took pictures. We went out by the river some and then to a lake and then a ton at the college, and some alleyways and an old mill. It was a ton of fun, but it was really hot and we all got really hungry. So hopefully we'll have gotten some really cool shots. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Nothing else noteworthy has happened...I'm going on a missions project tomorrow. Get to stain/paint at an elderly lady's house tomorrow. That should be fun. Maybe I'll write about that tomorrow...

I hate teenage relationships. I just had to console another friend of mine because her boyfriend [now ex-boyfriend] broke up with her. Teenage dating sucks big time. I'm so sick and tired of boys breaking some of my best girl friends' hearts. I hate being the Shoulder To Cry On. Not because I find it bothersome that my friends come to me for advice/support [which they do in overwhelming numbers, which is weird]; but because they HAVE to. They shouldn't HAVE to. One, I don't think people should be dating when they're fifteen or sixteen [which is how old the most recent girl I've had to console is]. Two, I don't think guys that age should be such idiots when they break up with girls. I mean it's all DRAMA. Do it the most dramatic way possible. This time he didn't talk to her for a week because he was away--practically refused to talk to her [we read about it all over Facebook] and then out of the blue he says that he wants to break up. DRAMA. Not everything is a soap opera. And if they add drama to a break up, it calls for more tears. I know it's just immaturity in the relationships or in the individuals, but I have to say it's so tiresome.
For every teenage relationship that works like seventeen billion fail. People either need to stop wanting to fall in love at a young age, because let's be realistic young ladies of the world, boys in books/movies/TV don't exist. Edward Cullen or one of the Jonas Brothers or whoever the hell else is not going to come in on a white horse and be your true love. And some pretty boy at school or youth group isn't either. Love doesn't happen when you're young enough to still get the child's discount to get into things. Unless you can buy cigarettes or vote you shouldn't be thinking about falling in love and making babies.
I've seen too many people crying over boys that AREN'T WORHT IT. They weren't worth dating in the first place [where have all the good men gone?!] and they're most certainly not worth crying over now. Let's throw a party instead. Hooray you're not dating that sorry loser any more. Good for you. Let's have a sky-writer paint it in the clouds "I'M SINGLE AGAIN! HUZZAH!"
Ok. Maybe not that far.
I'll stop be a cynic now and get off my soap-box...Just needed to vent.
College.
I want to go to this college. For real. It's about a two hour drive to the college, some through the moutanins so it's a really pretty drive. The college is pretty small, which is good. If I went to a big, public college I'd probably have a panic attack. I'm used to small class sizes...my graduating class has 5 people in it. That being said going to a private, liberal arts college is what I would prefer. When we first got there my sister and I had a conversation about campus ministries with one of the alumni there helping out with the open house. And then there was a question/answer session that was opened by the president of the college. It was pretty cool that the president of the college came out to talk to a couple of tour groups. Anyways, so after the question/answer session where my mother participated in asking several very mom-like questions, we went on a campus tour. It's a gorgeous campus. In the mountains, pretty trees, nice old buildings. Yeah, and they have a Creating Writing major. So that's pretty awesome. Creative Writing is what I want to do with my life...despite the suckage that ensues whenever I try to write...anywho, I want to study at this college. So I'm applying in the fall, and hopefully will be accepted. If/when I get accepted you'll probably hear me squeal in delight even though most of as are in different states. People in Europe will probably hear it. And I'll probably splash it all over the Internet, so there's that, too....
...
A friend of mine is in a screamo band. They suck, but their guitarist is really cute. He looks kind of like a surfer guy--you know he always wears flip-flips and he's got shaggy blonde hair. Anywho, this is totally random but he got snakebites recently. And I never really realized how hot they look. I mean, seriously. He was hot before but now. Wow.
Yeah, this has been completely random but I felt like writing.
I'm going to go visit the college of my choice tomorrow. So I'll blog about that when I get back...
Random Stuff.
Went to go see Public Enemies last night. It was actually pretty good. The camera was trippy, though. It wasn't really anchored to anything so it shook really bad. It was cool for the fight scenes but for just random stuff like people talking it was kind of nauseating. Johnny Depp was really good in it, he was really in character. The main female person [I don't know the actress's name] was a little wierd...and Christian Bale's accent made me giggle.
We had to get up super early this morning [like 6:30] because my grandparents are in town and they wanted to see my sister and I before they drove home. My grandpa's pretty cool...but my grandma's really far gone. She's had a couple of strokes and so she's just kind of there. So breakfast was an awkward affair, and I was still half asleep.
In other news, I got a fairly good picture of my new haircut/colour. I dyed it purplish the other day and so the bleached streak is now an odd mixture of pink, purple and blonde... But my haircut looks cool. My sister figured out who it looks like. Akito's hair from the last chapter of Fruits Basket.
