We all know about what happened over in Japan, right? Just as we all know about the inevitable trolling and whining and bitching that has flooding the Internet. So instead of pretending that my motives are somehow better than the person who gave money quietly or openly. Or the person who simply drew something since they aren't in a position to give or created a challenge... I'll be upfront with this post and what I'm going to do.
I'm going to do a bit of Attention Whoring just like the rest of you. How am I gonna do this? I'm gonna basically say, get over yourselves, those of you whining over how others are trying to show support. Stop thinking that because you wouldn't do a contest and get a medal (which is what, a pixel image on your portfolio... how inconsiderate to Japan!) that your care and concern is therefor more pure than theirs.
You can stop with the stupid Atheist and God statements such as "God, don't hate Japan." or "I don't do prayer." Because all you're doing at this point is quibbling over religion. Either you care about those affected and show it through private prayer or simple concern or sending help or doing a drawing, or you don't.
I've seen a lot of stupidity lately and at the same time I've seen those who just quietly do what they can instead of 'Attention Whoring' over anything they can find. I know you're likely feeling helpless that you can't do much but opening your big mouth to the world does nothing but make you look like a fool. I know, because I'm doing a bit of that right now by posting this.
I make no excuses. I honestly find this behavior immature and childish. And having said that, I'm done with my decent into Attention Whoring over Japan.
