You know on top of the audio podcast (which was just posted earlier today) we made a video podcast to be a sort of companion to the audio podcast. We call it the Ikari Vod. Garou Mark Of The Wolves... Rock Howard Vs. Robert Miles

Yep, another music comparison! This time it's from the last Fatal Fury game Garou Mark Of The Wolves. Which I just played for the first time today. Anyway when I played it and I was fighting against Rock Howard in his stage, I took notice of his theme music and I heard something familiar. It took just a minute or so for it to click "that's Children!" when I realized it I actually got teary and got some goose bumps. If you've never heard Children... well, it's a beautiful piece of music, not just a great trance track but a great piece of music. Now I know Capcom and SNK like to do little rock song homages but trance? That really is something. It even made my day today. Anyway here are the two tracks.

Ok this one was very interesting to find out. I've always had a strange feeling of deja vu when listening to the KOF 94 Ikari Warriors theme. "I know I heard a song that used that exact same riff before" I'd think to myself. Well, then randomly I decided to watch the youtube vid of the Ikari Warriors 94 theme and a comment said in Spanish that this song "plagiarised" another song called Surprise Your Dead by Faith No More. Ah see I do know Spanish. Then I found a music video of THAT song... and lo and behold SAME RIFF! So for your enjoyment here are the two songs Jungle Bouncer and Faith No More's Surprise Your Dead

It seems King Of Fighters 12 is winning all kinds of awards, and with other good fighting games coming out this year like BlazBlue and Tekken 6 it's really something. King Of Fighters really is the KING of fighters! lame :|
