Previous lesson: Manga style
Wellcome friends! Here we start a new trip ^^ Hope you all are so excited as I am! :]
Note: I’ll put links to this tutorial’s images, because the World sistem doesn’t allow to post more than one image per post. If there’s any link not working properly, comment or PM me.
Let’s begin with this lesson....
First of all,mI’ll make a list with the topics we’re gonna learn in this lesson:
Female Body
Basic Level I
Basic Level II
Basic Level III
Basic Level IV
Basic Level I:
Let’s start drawing the female body using simple lines (as the lines and forms we practiced in lesson: First Steps). To make this easier here’s an usefull link to anatomic images. I’m not saying you gotta study the whole body’s anatomy XD but it’ll be cool if you have a basic idea of the main body structure: the squeleton.

Well, in this lesson (after we take a look at anatomy!!) we can start drawing simple lines and dots to have the simple female body’s structure. Bold dots goes (mainly) in joints’s places as knees, shoulders, wrists, ankles, hips, elbows...

BASIC I
Typical (and funny) manga lesson image isn’t it? Here we see just lines, some dots and a big circle in head’s place. From now on, this will be our help-guide to start drawing our characters (in the case we need it, of course) or to create poses.
Basic Level II:
Dots becomes boldier, and also the lines. Now we can notice the Female Body’s Basic Form: the Sand clock .

BASIC II
Basic Level III:
Here we fill the spaces with more geometrical forms as triangles, circles and squares. We give more shape to the female body.

BASIC III
In the Sand Clock part we draw 2 circles in chest’s representation. Instead dots in the shoulder’s place we draw a circle and a line borning from them in arm’s representation. The arm line is interrupted by another circle (the elbow) and from there we draw another line (the forearm) ending at half way to the thigh, and then we draw a square (the future hand).
Note: something is wrong in this image, can you find the mistake? Yes! The leg’s lines are straight, when they had to be in “V” (see link: HERE )
Se that the torso isn’t exaggeratedly wide knor the lines forms are so straight. This is a big and important difference between male and female bodies (carefull with the shoulders!!: too wide shoulders would make this female body look like a male!)
Basic Level IV:

BASIC IV
This is a good image, beacause you can see one half in geometrical forms and in the other half we can see how to join the dots we draw as guide before to give the body more shape.
And you may wonder “how can I know HOW TO JOIN THEM?”. Its not that hard. For that we have to visit Anatomy of the Human muscles images:
Link 1: Female full body (xD i added the orange swim suit XDDD, some kids are reading this you know...) HERE
Link 2: Muscules (front and back) HERE
We'll talk about proportions later. Now you can just follow your instinct and put your own tastes into it. But if you’re to interested on this to wait for that lesson, then I’ll leave a little tip here: body’s height is 8 (or 7 and ½) times head height. But this can vary from style to style...
Now we’re talking about different mangaka’s styles, I remember you to visit different artist (my examples are Akira Toriyama, Rumiko Takahashi, CLAMP, Naoko Takeuchi.... but you can find more and more) and see the differences between all their female designs. You can see it’s different from artist to artist, to caharacter’s age...and so on...
Here are some final images of the female body in different views:

Try your own posses!!! :D
