As some of you may know, I'm going to be moving overseas very soon. That being said, we're leaving the house this Friday AND we're having our internet cut tomorrow. I don't know when I'll get my internet back up so...yah..SORRY.

O, I went over to Summoner Umi's house yesterday night. It was fun, we had a last crash before I head off and she goes to Otakon (which I want to go to TT^TT). What was actually really funny was we ended up drawing our whole class as sterotypes from animes...in gender bender form! lol I'll post some cool ones of those (and me as a guy! lawls Why is it I'm the only tan one? Hm...)

Hey guys! First post of the summer!
I finally got out of school about a week and a half ago. (Thank Jesus! Any longer and you might have seen me front page of your morning newspaper: "Seventeen year old girl snaps in Fairfax VA, killing a teacher and two students by straggling them with her bare hands. She has been reported foaming at the mouth and swearing off the top of her lungs going "I'll show you Goddamn people what "Northern Virginia is!"" Something I have battled all year long is apparently "Virginia" isn't South. Or rather, this part of it isn't. They don't want to be associated with the South and not only have the teachers dissed the South, but students as well. Well, the girl who has grown up in Alabama AND Texas finds that a little...annoying to say the least? It's even funnier cause no one knew I was from either. Apparently I don't speak with an accent so no one could tell, plus I look like I'm either Hispanic or Indian so yah...but I mean, how ignorant is that? I was so happy when my sensei, who's from Maine, said "y'all" and everyone was like "Sensei that's a Southern phrase why do you use that?" and he responded with "I can say y'all, I'm in Virginia, Y'ALL need to shut up cause I am from the North" Thank you for sensei...see what I have to deal with at school? And that's not even with grades....)
In other news...
I've been playing around with a bunch of mediums. I just bought some other kind of acrylics that i can't recall exactly what they are called...goauche I think? Something like that. All I know is that CLAMP uses them alot in illustrations so I thought i would give it a try.

Mangamageblue's contest she's got going on. It's basically a "create your own character" by picking a class and drawing (or a job as some know it). I'm pretty sure I'm drawing a Paladin. Not quite certain yet. A hunter or a Monk could be drawn as well. I like all of those classes, they're the greatest. Monks especially in FFIII.
I've also taken a liking to the anime "Trinity Blood". It's FREAKING AMAZING.
I normally don't like vampire stuff, but it's just so amazing. And it's not some romance story *cough Twilight cough* but legit awesome fighting and a deep plotline and just everything!
Also, I finished watching all of Mushishi. Damn that series is amazing. I really like it, I think it bumped up in my fav animes of all time. I really like it.
I also got for the first time an art collection book from CLAMP. It's their Chobits one called "Your Eyes Only" It's so EPIIIIIIIIIIC. It was the first time that I've ever bought something on impulse. I wasn't even planning on buying it. I was in the bookstore, minding my own business, and then I saw it! I flipped through it and was smitten. I had to get it. The illustrations were gorgeous (as expected from CLAMP) and it was just...amazing. And relatively cheap. I think it was 18 dollars for it (most art books are 25-30) and for CLAMP too! So I got it and don't regret it like some of the stuff I buy...
I'm also trying to start a webcomic (see my portfolio if you haven't for all the little four panel comics, they are spoofed offa the seven page comic about my sensei and it's called "Japanese 101" and is basically my year in Japanese 1 and the craziness we have. All are true stories or based on a true story). Currently I'm talking to the guy at

to see if I can post my art there. I've been a fan of most of the comics there for about two years, I have an account (bet you can't guess what it is! it's *gasp* haseoluver92 lol)there and he claims I have potential but nothing further has been stated. Hopefully I'll get more back from him. If I don't in about a month I'm going to start my own website (then I'll have the fun of making it...*cries* wish me luck...). Hopefully it'll work out, but my dad thinks it's a good idea so at least that's good...

Hey guys, well, my summer vacation just started, and I'm trying to work diligently on my manga. Not going so well. Well, I mean, it is, but isn't. My rough sketches look nice, but my illustrations and final products look like crap, er, not as good as I would like them to look. I mean, it's like my inking abilities haven't gotten any better. (Traditional) because as much as I like how clean digital looks, I really want to stick with traditional artwork. I like doing it and I feel more...like an actual artist? I dunno, but I don't get the same sense of satisfaction when I draw on the computer as when I do in real life.
But I'm having difficulties inking. If anyone has any tips for me, or knows a good "how to" site or tutorial PLEASE link me. I'm desperate. I can't do this on my own anymore, all that I know up to this point is me just playing around with inks and colors, I can't afford to do that anymore, I'm determined to actually get my stuff published. I want my stories out there for real, as I've explained to people, I'm not doing this strictly for my own entertainment (but I certainly wouldn't be attempting this if it didn't entertain me) but I want to become a pro. I want to make this my career and I get so frustrated that I want to start smashing things!! UGH! ME SMASH! lol Anyhoo, don't get the idea that I'm depressed, I'm not, merely...invigorated and envious of people that can. lol

Wow, seems like forever since I last posted. Sorry about that. But I finally have some great news (for me lol)
MY TABLET NOW WORKS LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO!!! *dances* See, my tablet was supposed to be pressurized, but when I used it, it wasn't! (Note the consistent even lines on my digital artworks) and so I went through this whole escapade to finding out why it wasn't pressurized (a whole friggen year later, why am I so slow at these things?) and now it is!! YAY!! lol
On another note, I've been playing around with watercolors, they're really fun to use, my next project with them is trying to use them with color pencils and copic markers. I've found (from reading through a whole bunch of artbooks (like the FMA one, or the Chobits one, which I own, and my friend's loveless one...)) that most artists actually use more than one medium in one art piece. So it's not just acrylics (which I'll buy soon) or just watercolors, but a mixture of them in the picture to add depth.
And also, I've fallen in love with an anime/manga. Ever heard of "Soul Eater"? I watched a few episodes at the beginning of the year, kinda liked it, but wasn't really hyped up about it, then I started reading more and more and more, and by god is it fantastic. I've never read a whole 64 chapters (with about 40 pages in each) in three days nor have I ever watched 27 episodes in one day in my life. But it was so fun, the characters are amazing, and guess what? NO WIMPY FEMALE CHARACTERS!! WOOOTS! Maka is friggen amazing, I fanboy her. She's just to epic for words. lol (She's the first female character I've ever really gotten this happy about). So yah...
On a bad note with manga, Eyeshield 21 ended, and in my book, kinda bad. I mean, it was a decent ending, it wasn't like "OMG FAIL!" but it wasn't like "OMG EPIC" either. It really didn't draw together loose ends and it kinda left you with this "huuuuuh?" expression, and I don't like having that. I thought they could have ended it alot better (I won't say what happened for those who haven't read it yet, or aren't up to date). BUT GODDAMIT COULDN'T YOU HAVE AT LEAST TOLD US IF HIRUMA AND MAMORI GOT TOGETHER!!

I'm not emo anymore! lol I know for a while there my posts were filled with emo tears, but I'm pretty happy, school is about to end and I could use the break. I only have monday and tuesday left, and both are half days. Man, I'm going to be a senior! O_O That's so scary, considering I came onto this site as a freshman! I was fourteen! FOURTEEN! (Well, kinda, in like, three weeks I was turning fifteen, but that's beside the point). Scary how time flies. And is it ironic that I was more popular when my art wasn't as good? Hm...lol

Not all animes have girls with large boobs and wear mini skirts. I challenge you to watch "Spirited Away" or "Castle in the Sky". Believe it or not, most animes don't even have what you've listed. But then again, I'm probably wasting my breath, but you'll just shoot back a supposed "witty" comment about how I'm the spawn of satan. Too bad lady, already got that once before.
