Chapter 3

Chapter 3

A cold breeze blew through Shion's hair as she sat on a grave stone. She took a deep breath and said to herself "I know now, I shall never trust anyone again." Then she heard a stick brake and she looked up to she a girl about 16. She had short purple hair and 2 long brads with hot pink eyes, holding a bouquet of many different flowers.
"Um, do you mind getting off my dad?" the girl asked. Shion just stared at her in confusion and replied with a "What?"
"Yeah, you do know that its disrespectful to sit on a grave?" The pink eyed girl answered. "So will you please get off it?"
But Shion still sat there staring at her with deep blood red eyes.
"GET OFF!" the girl screamed while putting up her hand and at that moment Shion was thrown from the grave stone by an invisible force.
"What the hell was that?!" Shion yelled at the girl.
"I asked you many times kindly to get off. But you didn't, so I made you." the pink haired girl said with an unkind voice from which she didn't start off with.
"What kind of power was that you just released?” demanded Shion.
"I have telekinetic powers."
Shion was now intrigued greatly by this girl. "I sense allot of power from you, let me test your strength." Shion offered and with Ankoku in hand she charged at the girl. But before she could hit her the girl teleported behind Shion and threw her across the field. Shion stabbed her sword into the ground to stop herself. "Great power." she muttered and once again Shion took a strike only this time it was blocked by some sort of invisible shield.
"How dare you. You have no right to be doing this. I did nothing to you!" the girl shouted and teleported out again but didn't come back. But Shion could still sense her presence.
"Come out! I know your still here!" screamed Shion, and then there it was. She swung Ankoku behind her and hit the girl, making her fly into the tree. She wasn't moving so Shion walked up to her to see if she was defeated. "I can't sense her ora. Weaker then I thought." and started to walk away. All of a sudden she couldn't move. "What is this. Why can't I move my body?!" Shion growled.
"That is because of me." a voice said from nowhere and the girl appeared in front of her.
"I- I thought I killed you." Shion said confused.
"Well you thought wrong. You underestimated me, don't that next time." The girl said in such rage.
"Next time? Why don't you finish me off now." asked Shion.
"Not in front of my dad." she answered. "The name is Hodiko Akahori and don't forget it." and with that she teleported out. Shion stood there in thought. "What power she had. Hodiko Akahori."

"Hodiko! What happen to you? Are you ok?" A boy fussed. "Were you picking on that cat again?" and walked toward her. He had beautiful short shaggy silver hair and bright blue eyes. Wearing a lose black sleeveless shirt, baggy blue pants and black shoes.
"Ha ha your so funny." Hodiko said and gave him a dead stare. "This girl started attacking me for no reason."
"Well were you giving her that stare? Everyone would want to kill ya." he asked with a cocky grin.
"Oh shut up Sora." Hadiko giggled. She picked up a spoon and threw it at him.
"Hey when your living in my you don't be chucking shit at me." Sora said laughing "Come here and Hodiko, let me heal your booboo." he offered as he closed the distance between them and put his hands over the cut she got on her chest. Then a warm white light started to glow from his hands and her wound was gone like it was never there.
"Wow Sora you have a magic touch, but you always end up falling on top of me afterwards. Do it again and I will call rape." Hodiko added with a smile.
"I'll try my best." He got up and slipped on the spoon she threw earlier and fell right on top of her.
"Ahh, rape rape!" Hodiko laughed so hard she couldn't breath. Sora couldn't help but stare. "Well Sora, I have to get to work around the village. You mind getting off now?"
"Uh, oh yeah." He got off her quickly so she didn't notice the slight blush. "See ya pipsqueak!" he yelled after her as she walked out the door.
It was a very small village, one of those "Everyone knows everyone" places. But the houses were sturdy and the food was plenty. A big family, just the way it's always been. A little ways down from Sora's place was the nice old couple that Hodiko and Sora have been helping out for about 2 weeks now. Just small things like patching leaks, gardening and fetching water. She's starting to suspect that just making up excuses to have her around. Hodiko laughed to herself. Which was ridiculous because she grew up knowing them. They might as well have been her grandparents. She loved like they were.
"Hello Grandpa! Do you need any help today?" Hodiko asked the sweet old man.
"Oh yes my dear girl. Can you please pick up 10 carrots, 6 stalks of corn, 1 sack of potatoes, and 2 pounds of wild boar from the market for me?"
"Wow! Quite a shopping list. Is Grandma trying to feed the whole village?" she giggled.
"Oh my no." he laughed. "Were rewarding you 2 for all the help you've given us."
"Really! Wow that is so kind of you to do this for us. Thank you!" Hodiko said and gave him a big loving hug. "I'll be back in a bit." she took the money and headed for the market. When she got there she saw that Sora was working today too.
"Sora!" She ran over to him ecstatic. "Hey guess what?!"
"What? No wait, you found a new shiny penny." Sora teased while he set out freshly picked apples.
"Grandma and Grandpa are having us over for dinner tonight! So he needs 10 carrots, 6 stalks of corn, 1 sack of potatoes, and 2 pounds of wild boar." she said like he hadn't said anything at all.
"My my with all that excitement, it sounds like I don't feed you." he laughed at his own sarcasm.
"What your not feeding this pretty lady over here?" said a handsome young man with long brown hair to his shoulders, and dark brown eyes to match.
"Oh hi Koda!" Hodiko said as she spun to face him.
"Oh Koda." Sora said irritated and a little sad.
"I over heard your conversation and you know what will go great with that dinner is some buns. Here there on me." and Koda handed Hodiko a bag of buns and all the other food she asked for with a smile. (Sly Bastard.) thought Sora as he walked away.
"Here’s the money.” She handed him a bag of coins.
"Man I hate that guy." Sora growled, glaring at Koda's back.
"Why? Wait I know." Hodiko said with smirk. "Your jealous."
"What me!?! Me Jealous of that dolt. He's all brown and no brain." Sora tried to hide his embarrassment by putting more fruit out.
"Exactly! All brown!" She said with a huge smile. Then out of nowhere Hodiko hears a scream. "WTH? Sora I'll be right back." Then she started to run to where the screams is coming from. When she got there she saw the girl with long black hair and blood red eyes wearing a torn up black dress with red ribbons.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Ayame was kneeling in front of the Dark Hall staring unseeing with tearful eyes at the hellish flames. Burning the only things she had left.
"Shion... why!" she screamed as load as she possibly could. Ayame then said her last goodbyes to the only things she new and slowly walked away. As she went, Ayame tried to dry her tears as best she could.
"I will have my revenge no matter what." muttering as she clenched her fists. As she wonders around not knowing where to she's going but knowing she has to leave.
Stopping in her tracks as a new flow of tears stream down. A tear trickles down and falls only to be caught on the red velvet petal of a rose bud. At the tear's touch it fully opened as if that was all it needed to grow. A glint of a smile appeared on the sad girl's face and disappeared as if it was never there. She turned to see an extremely tall, handsome man with astonishing green hair and eyes, holding the newly opened red rose to her. Smiling so sweetly she couldn't stop herself from smiling back. And with a voice as velvety smooth as the rose itself said. "the only other thing that make my flowers bloom, is a beautiful woman's tears because it compels them to want to be just as beautiful. How can one so lovely be so sad?" Even though she willed it the smile stayed strong. So she finally gave up and replied.
"A betrayal of a friend."
"Might I do anything to help?"
"Only if you can travel in time." She started to walk towards the place the once held suck good memories. But now holds nothing but pain, anger, and sorrow.
"May I ask of you only two things?" The peaceful man asked.
"If you must." replied Ayame.
"What is the name of this sad beauty that blessed my flower with her tear?" The man goes on. "And may I join you on your quest?"
"My name is Ayame and yes you may. I will need some one to be joyful with. And what might your name be?" Ayame answered.
"My name is Orik. And thank you for letting me accompany you." He bows low to her. "So Ayame. Where are we headed?" asked Orik straightening to his full night, which to Ayame's amazement was a good 6'2" to her 5'4".
"Anywhere our feet can take us." She replied with a half smile on her face.
The two started off in to the forest.
"We should head to some where that holds answers. To everything."
"And where is that?" inquired Orik.
"I don't know exactly, but we'll find it. No matter what." She said in a sad, sad tone. Looking down at the ground starting to sob. Ayame feels someone take her into a strong embrace. She hears Orik's kind voice say.
"You need not be sad my beauty. For I am with you now." She stayed there in the comfort of his arms till her cries subsided. Then wiped the remaining tears away before facing him to find his deep green eyes upon her. Ayame felt so drawn to them and they held her gaze steadfast. She finally said with much effort.
"I wish that were true, but it is easier said than done. Thank you though." She looked away sighing. "I have a feeling this quest is going to take a life time."
"But a life time is not forever." Orik replied with his ever-lasting smile from the heart.

The Beginning

The beginning

"Hi, the name's Shion. To them I am simply an object from the past that they wish would disappear...then why do I exist? Why am I alive? When I thought about this I could find no answer. But as you live you need a reason, otherwise... it's the same as being dead...

Chapter 1

In this place called Gothica...a cold, dark waste land. In which Shion lives, this world is kill or be killed. There is no place for the weak here. She has been a monster since birth. Hated, feared, unwanted... and unloved. her parents died when she was still small. Not that it really mattered to her. They never loved her, she never found out why they kept here in the first place.
She shall not trust anyone... it's the only way she knows how to survive. She fears no one. The only one she can trust is herself. Shion has been alone all her life. No one to protect her. no one to care for her. Treated cruelly just because she's a demon.
Though she's not completely alone now. She has one friend named Ayame. She's a perky blond with deep brown eyes that seem to trust the entire world. Yet Shion doesn't even her completely. She's nothing like Shion. Ayame is kind hearted and care free. Certainly not a demon, but human. They were headed to a dojo in Yato called The Dark Hall. There they stayed for quite some time. Where they've completed many missions. Their sensei and his wife treat Ayame like she was their very own child. They have two young sons. the youngest is four; named Arata and his brother, Isamu who is six. Their father makes them constantly train, though all they want is to play.
"Shion-chan! chimed Arata, running at full speed to Shion. She turned around to find him staring up at her all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
"Yes, what is it?" she said flatly.
"Will you play with me?" Arata asked still beaming.
"No, I don't play childish games." she answered. "Go ask Ayame."
"I can't ask her. She's out on a mission." he wined.
"Well...then I'd better take you back to the training hall."
They arrived at there after about two hours of walking. Carring Arata more than half the time.
"Now go back to your mother." Shion told Arata with a hint of annoyance in her voice. So he trotted off to his mom.
"Annoying pest." Soon night fell. Shion was walking around The Great Hall and heard her sensei talking to his most trusted men. They were talking about her.
"We must kill her! Shion is a demon!" one man said. Then another man came in and said "All done sensei."
"Good so they all know the signal then.Shion must die tonight." Right then and there,Shion's dark hell sword Ankoku ready, she stormed into the room. With a laugh she said. "Heh, you think you can kill me." in a demonic tone.
Then with god like speed and one sinful slash, she killed her sensei and all the other men in the room. She started to laugh, then stopped. With her demonic powers she summoned dark flames of those in hell and engulfed the entire dojo in an angry fire. Shion started a massacre, killing every one, one by one. Walking the halls of dark fire. Leaving them nowhere to run, totally helpless. Suddenly Arata and Isamu came running at her with huge knifes in their little hands. She killed them both in an instant. Shion left no survivors, except one...Ayame. As she walked out of the nightmarish flames, drenched head to toe in blood, Shion saw Ayame. With a terrified and sad look on her sweet face. Crying she screamed."Why? How could you...why did you do this Shion?!"
She didn't tell her the truth. She wouldn't believe it anyway. So instead Shion replyed."To see what I'm capable of." And at that very moment; she vanished into the darkness. That was the last time Shion thought she'd ever see Ayame.
