Robby put up a real fight getting into the room, he squirmed and thrashed but to no avail. The large vampire had a death grip on him and sat him in the chair quickly. He glared around at everyone and saw the two of us. Haytham had his cold hands pining me to himself so I couldn’t do anything. It was amazing how strong he was, he was just lightly pressing down on my shoulders and I couldn’t move.
The large vampire came back with a vile of clear liquid and injected it into Robby, then pulled him out of the chair and joined the rest of the group. The large crowd of vampires started leaving and Haytham began to lead me away. I thought I was going to be taken back to the room with Robby and Didier but I was wrong, instead I was taken down another dark hallway to a bedroom.
Once in the bedroom Haytham closed the door and locked it then faced me.
“How do you feel” he asked, looking at me with his piercing amber eyes.
“I want to see my friends” I said angrily, I wasn’t about to be separated from the only other humans here.
“They aren’t your friends anymore” Haytham said his voice cold “From the moment that needle broke your skin all connections with them were severed”.
“But that’s not fair!” I yelled loosing my temper “I didn’t ask for this! I don’t want this! Let us go!” to show my anger I kicked the wall which only gave me some sore toes with my anger.
“Please, we had no choice, I’m sorry it had to be you but there was no other way” he said sounding sincere.
“No!” I screamed, “I hate you! I hate all of you!” I wanted to hit him, to hurt him. The anger was burning in my throat and making my eyes hot with tears.
Without thinking I grabbed an ornament off of a small desk and threw it at him. He simply stepped out of the way and it shattered on the wall behind him. This only made me angrier and I ran at him. He didn’t move so a just began to beat on him, I was short so all I could do was pound my fists on his chest, which was surprisingly hard. Eventually I gave up and just slumped on him sobbing into his chest. I don’t know why I cried, I wouldn’t have normally, but I guess this wasn’t a ‘normal’ situation.
He let me drown his shirt in tears for a long time then he gently placed his cold hand on my back.
“Why don’t you go to sleep” he said gently “you look awful”.
My eyes did hurt if I kept them open so I nodded and went over to the bed and lay on it for a long time before drifting to sleep.
