Hey, there. Kei here. And with yet another entry for the Gamer's Dictionary, no less. Let there be confetti.
Today's word will likely bring back some... interesting memories for most gamers. Whether or not they're good or bad... Eh.
Battletoads (n.) - Primarily a feature used in online format, it is used facetiously to provide a title to people who ask what game a screenshot is from. Typically used by jackasses and/or people that believe themselves funny (and are usually not).
(Battletoads was a game created by Rare Ltd. way back in 1991 that was released on the NES and was subsequently ported to several handhelds and spawned four sequels. Known as one of the most graphically advanced games for the system, it also has a notorious reputation as being one of the most difficult games to defeat in gaming history, ranking right up there with Ghosts and Goblins. There are several reasons for this, including but not limited to: Limited continues, no password/save point options and various glitches for one- and two-player gameplay. Even most hardcore gamers shudder at the thought of attempting to tackle it to this day.
Also, this is yet another word frequently seen on 4Chan's /b/ forum. You may now cringe.)
