Earlier:
“You wanted to talk with me alone, Hime” Jenny questioned.

“Yes. You have a little bit of magical ability right? And you’re also fully rested?”

Jenny nodded, “Yesh. I rested a lot while waiting for you guys.”

“Well then…Can I ask you for a favor?” Hime asked.

“Of course! What is it?” Jenny asked.

Kiki frowned, “It’s as I thought…My watch is still acting up. I can’t even freeze time for very long…”

“….Hey Kiki?” Jenny asked.

“Hm?”

“You can stop that thing for at least two seconds if you use your watch now, right?”

Kiki blushed, “I know it’s not much! But that’s all I can do at the moment!”

“Can’t you try…for a little bit long?” she asked.

“It might be longer if I try so hard that I pass out, But I have to concentrate
to do that…I can try three seconds at the very most,” Kiki said.

Jenny laughed and shook her head, “Didn’t you understand earlier, Kiki?”

“What?”

“Two seconds is long enough…to save the life of one friend you know…”

Kiki looked at Jenny with confusion.

“If you pass out…Mocha and I will carry you. So, will you please be my back-up?”
Jenny said.

“…Alright. Explain…” Kiki said.

“It looks like Chero could be in danger…” Mocha said, “Jenny said that we need to be ready to fight.”

Francis nodded in understanding, “Ah~ That explains why she went ahead with Kiki.”

“We have to be ready…in case the monster shows up at any time,” Mocha added.

“What about that exit?” Francis asked.

“If we can…we should. But I have a feeling that the exit will not work out. If we can’t get out that way…”

“That is when we assume that Miss Chero is in danger. The monster can also still come after us…so we should watch the doors,” he said.

“Dante already promised to stand very close to the door, with rebellion ready.”

“I can be close to the door too, maybe the monster will not be able to harm my beautiful face, oui?~” he teased.

“Jenny and Kiki seemed to be working on a plan. We should get ready, Papa…”

“Oui, it will be ok, ma petite.”
