Featured Artists

Hey guys :D
So I finally decided to re-make the Featured artist world. I don't think it went too well the first time around, probably because I didn't put enough effort into it ^^;;; I've been wanting to re-start this for a while, and I finally got the chance so hopefully it works out better the 2nd time around :D

This world is to show off artists from all of the sections. Fan art, wallpapers, cards, and fan manga. There are many awesome pieces out there and no one gets to see them, so hopefully be showing them off here it will get more recognition from others!

(If you ever get featured, you'll know a little bit before head because I'd pm ya :D or a guest poster might pm ya :D)

In every post, I'm going to try and give a critique of the persons work so it's not just like hey go check this out. I'll also give reason behind it so it's not a random picture/wallie/card/fanmanga.

If anyone wants to guestpost, just leave a comment here or pm me :3. But if you wanna guestpost you have to leave at least 5 sentences about the person's work you're showing off :D.

I am a Girl by Castella

First off I want to thank MewMew for allowing me to be a guest poster to this world. For my debut, I decided to critique this piece by Castella. It is very nicely done, I think and I really love how Castella did the eyes. They really stand out. The second thing I really like about this drawing was how the hair is fixed, The hair is not at all messy like you see in some line-art. Overall I think it has great potential to have a colored version.

Mai Rionette made a really awesome painting. They took an old drawing that they did and renewed it :3

The shading is really well done. It looks pretty correct @-@ so job well done there. I like how dark and creepy it is, it does kinda seem like a vampire lolz. I wish the eye was a little brighter so it would pop out more, but thats just my preference.. and i'm a freak >.> And i also think that the red lines are a little distracing maybe if theyt were smudged a bit more. But it doesnt bother me too much.

Overall nice work, and you guys betta go check it out D:

Found this piece while i was looking at art last night X'3 I had to post it here XD

Ranefea did a great job :3. Usually u dont see compositions like this in the submissions. I remember a piece that someone did on sheezyart that had a really long canvas like this and it was really quite something.
I dont really like the style of the face.. but i'm picky with that, depends on yer preference XD
I think the coloring is nice and i kinda wanna see them make another type of fairy but a brighter version of it :3 but thats just me XD

Not going to lie, it's not the most well drawn picture in the world, but it's so creative and it's adorable. I really love the little dog in there too.. or is it a wolf @_@ i think a wolf... But it's so cute, regardless of whether it's in beauty and the beast or not ^^

I really like Belle's dress the most, they made a totally different dress from the original and it's very pretty :3 and people... i love colors.... so... yea... you should love colors too.. and go look at it @3@

I think they did a really good job with the brushes and textures :O I just wish the lineart was a bit more crisp @_@ but other than that, i think they did a job well done :3
Also, i think it's really nice how the red shirt is the most vibrant color and the rest are kinda neutral browns and whites and such. makes it PoP *w*
