Stars

Title: Stars
Series: Jyu-Oh-Sei
Characters: Zagi and Karim

He lay still leaning against the rocky wall. We both looked out at the illuminating stars decorating the black skies. I looked at him with a bit of sadness, regret, it was my fault he was hurt.

"Look at the sky," he whispered and I slowly looked up at it. "What do you see?" he questioned me.

"Stars," I replied and he chuckled lightly opening his hazing eyes. "Zagi." I spoke quietly.

"To think, I'd die," he paused for a moment and I closed my eyes letting the tears fall. His hand caressed my face and I looked to him. "I never thought it be to save you." He said sweetly letting his hand fall onto his stomach.

"I was no one until you came along," I told him being honest. Our eyes met and he frowned slightly. "But whoever I am now, feels like enough."

"I'll be with those stars," he muttered blood coming from the corners of his mouth. "Karim, you were and are the first woman I ever loved, just watch the stars." He said with his final breath and soon his eyes faded and I cried a river of tears.
