How Do I Make Sure theOtaku Emails Don't Get Spam Filtered?

The absolute best way to make sure that emails we send you (notifications, password retrievals, and newsletter mailings) don't get spam filtered is by adding our email address to your contact list.

Here's a quick walkthrough for a few popular email services. If you use a different email service, don't worry! The pattern should roughly be the same for all of them! Just give it a quick look.

Gmail:

In the left menu you should see a list of links:

Compose Mail
Inbox
Starred
Chats
Sent Mail
Drafts
All Mail
Spam
Trash
Contacts

Click "Contacts" at the bottom. In the top left corner of the page you should see an icon of a person with a plus sign next to it. Click that icon to add a contact.

Type the email: [email protected] in the contact email box. You can ignore all the other boxes, like "Name" and "Phone" - you just need to type the email. Finally, click "Save" at the top and all is done.

Yahoo!:

There are four tabs at the top of the Yahoo! mail screen:

Mail | Contacts | Calendar | Notepad

Click the "Contacts" tab, then click "Add Contact" and type, in the email box: [email protected]

You can skip all the other boxes. Click "Save" and then "Done."

Hotmail:

In the left menu you should see a list of links:

Today
Mail
Contacts
Calendar

Click "Contacts" and then "New" at the top. In the "Personal e-mail" box type: [email protected] and ignore everything else. Click "Save" at the top and you are done!
