prologue

She was running down the street everything was a blur. She could feel, hear every rain drop, each drop brought more sorrow, guilt, pain. She turned down into an ally to catch her breath. The coldness of the nights late fall winds pierced through her blood soaked clothes. The sound of sirens echoed off of every building hitting her full force, she had to keep running. She opened a side door it was black as a moonless night inside. She didn’t care, the darkness welcomed her with opened arms. The air was hot and stuffy, it smelt of moist rain, and rust.

She walked down the hallway slowly, her hand sliding against the wall to guide her. She didn’t pay attention to where she was running after her car hit the tree, she guessed it was downtown. How could this have happened, why did everybody have to hate her? All she did was listen to them, did everything they wanted, was there own personal slave. Is it so wrong to want to be loved? She tripped over something cold and hard, she fell with a loud thud. She didn’t have the strength to go on not physically, not mentally. She crawled into a ball and cried, she cried everything out.

Lights came through the windows, she could hear voices, she knew she was caught, she didn’t care, she has lost all hope. She didn’t move they could find her by her sobs. All she could think about were her friends and family, her school. Everything she had lost and would never gain back.
