The Guardians in each cardinal Gate keep and assign any Keys that have been left without a protector.
Water Gate Key Guardian(s): Lady Mizuki (Akibana) Morita
Fire Gate Key Guardian(s): Felve clan; under Llanian governmental control beginning with the events of Eternal Rain: TRIGGER.
Earth Gate Key Guardian(s): Lady Salha Patil (Nasim Patil in training)
Wind Gate Key Guardian(s): originally family in Uakashie whose names include "shie" (Sora and Hoshi's family); after the deaths of the previous guardians, none are officially active until Sora and Hoshi come of age (Keyholders' Legacy).
