So let’s see! The story of my username! (By the way, I use the same username for almost EVERY website I’m a member of!)
First of all, Smiling is used to describe Isoka. Therefore, Isoka smiles a lot! :D
Isoka is the part that actually comes from a story! Once upon a time I was really into writing fanficts! But to me, it didn’t seem as fun to write these crazy stories if I didn’t include myself on the fun! So I had to put myself into the story somehow. But my real name just didn’t seem to fit in with all the cool anime and video games I was writing about! My pseudonym started as Angel for Angel Island (Sonic series if you didn’t catch the reference lol). Then, for whatever reason I changed it to River. This was in about the sixth grade for me, and River stuck until the end of eighth grade and I got sick of thinking about and writing the story River was a part of (I may continue it someday though lol).
So since “River” was dead to me in a way, I needed a new identity! Then, one day a name just popped into my head! It was the most bizarre random thing ever! Isoka. Pronounced like iss-oh-kah. I had no idea where I got that name from for the longest time because it seemed so random! Then it hit me. My second anime love (after my elementary school Pokemon craze lol). One Piece. Probably the most obscure character of all time. She was the little girl that traveled through time with all those other kids in the little story arc right before Skypiea’s beginning! That was basically where the 4Kids One Piece dub had left off, so I guess it stuck somehow! But since then, I have referred to myself as Isoka.
Anyways back to the Smiling! I have a saying I live by that I made up a long time ago. “Keep smiling! No matter how bad things get! Cuz God still loves you!” Sorry if you’re not religious/anti-religious, I’m just stating what I believe! So to me, smiling is very important.
