Chapter 6

There were only a few kilometers until the mansion; however an unexpected stop given by Dimitri made Saga nervous; she was nervous already because she didn’t now what was going to happen to her, as far as she knew, she was going to work for a strange Noble who lived with other two maids; the note that her grandmother gave her before she head to the strange town said:

“Dear Saga, please take care of yourself; this is your first trip alone and also you first job; remember you need to be very polite and kept any questions for yourself, or, in that case for me. Remember to write me a letter when you arrived to the place, and again, take care, being alone with a strange man could be dangerous.”

If you thought about it, every single detail was against her and she couldn’t control her emotions very well. Anyway, what she didn’t notice was that there were two vampires looking to her face and wondering why she was daydreaming.

“mmm Saga? Are you all right? Because you don’t seem to…” Dimitri said with a cute voice; that returned Saga to the real world and again, she felt that the trees should eat her so she could stop making embarrassing mistakes.

“I’m fine” Was all she could say; on the other hand, Dimitri just ignored her and continued talking.

“We are going to take a little shortcut, I need to buy something before I get home, Is that fine with you? He was still happy and that gave Saga a feeling of confidence, her nerves were disappearing.

“I don’t have any problem at all, but, where are we going?” At that point her nerves disappeared and she was getting very curious. This time Erebi was the one who answered

“We are going to buy some flowers for Sophia and Elizabeth” before he ended the sentence, Dimitri continued “Because I was fighting with them before we met you and I need to apologize with them, after all it was my entire fault”
Both of them kept I silence, it was the first time they agreed to the point of knowing what to say.

“You know that material gifts are not the solution right?” Saga said.

“Yes, I know but it helps and its being a long time since we bought flowers…”

The tiny shop was just a few minutes ahead; it was hidden and that was one of the reason Dimitri like going there, he thought about it as his little secret; the other reason was that you could never see flowers in the town, not in that station but that shop always had all the types of flowers like they were just blooming.

Currently it was 6:00 pm, they arrives just in time before the shop closed.
“Good afternoon Miss!” Dimitri nearly screamed

“Oh! Welcome young master, it’s been a while since you last cam; it’s a pleassure to see you again; Well If I’m not wrong you want the same?” She said in a quiet voice, she was an old lady that lied on the shop with her daughter; her daughter had always a great interest on the noble but at that time, she wasn’t there.

“Yes the usual please: Sweet peas for Elizabeth, Tulips for Sophia and ¿What are your favorite flower dear?” He said asking Saga.

“Mine? Well if you insist, they have to be the Heathers” She said in a low tone of voice

“I understand, so they will be delicate pleasure, declarations of love and some admiration right?" The lady said smiling as she left to pack the flowers.
That was something normal for the lady, she knew the meaning of every flower and that was the third reason for Dimitri; it was a unique place.
The flowers were ready in only few minutes, the noble paid and then they went to the mansion; they arrived there an hour later, no one was outside but the lights were on; Saga was delighted with it, the mansion looked beautiful that way and she didn’t care; she took some time to admire it but she was interrupted by Erebi

“Hey! If you don’t begin to move, the dogs will kill you” That was a lie, there weren’t any animals there, they hated being there except for Hades, Dimitri’s cat. Saga ran to Dimitri’s position and held his arm; after some seconds she realized her behavior and got took the arm away.

“Erebi, what did you tell her?” He said laughing “You make me happy, thanks for that Saga, now please take this for a second” He was giving the flowers so he could stand the punishment.

He opened the door and his face was hit by a whip that had a cast iron head with spikes on it; his face was bleeding now and when Elizabeth notices what she had done she ran to Dimitri and apologized

“It was your fault after all…I’m sorry” She said; Sophia was standing on the other side, just looking in a sad way

“I’ve being stupid, it was all my fault, I understand why you are angry…would you forgive me?” His eyes were the ones of a puppy; he knew how to be forgiven by them because they were hugging him some minutes later. He got rid of the hugs and finally presented Saga.

“Sophia, Elizabeth, this is Saga Waterlot, the new maid I told you about; please be nice with her and teach her everything you know until the time arrives, understand?” He said without noticing what was happening.

“Master, I think that can wait until tomorrow, she seems tired” Sophia said laughing; Saga was falling asleep on the noble’s back. Dimitri grabbed her and took her to her new room.

“Sophia? Can you sing something for me? Sleeping… feels good…” He asked while he went to his room

Chapter 5

“Excuse me sir, could you help me?” An interesting and full of life voice asked. Dimitri sat straight and then reached her eyes; he was surprised about what he was seeing; a young girl with a beautiful face, steel blue eyes and a long silver hair was standing there looking at him in a weird way because he wasn’t answering any questions.

She talked again wondering if her currently voice was not enough to reach him. “Excuse me ” However she was interrupted him.

“I’ve already listened to you” He said to himself with his eyes closed; in the first place he was trying to test her but he didn’t expect what happened next.

There was a punch over his head and his reaction was to stay calmed; he just sighed as he listened to Erebi who could not stop laughing about it. After that, there were some silence minutes and Erebi decided to talk.

“Hey Dimitri, who is this girl?...She seems strange but funny hehehe” Erebi said

“You think that little thing? I think you are weird too but talking between secrets is not very clever” The girl said.

Dimitri and Erebi were in shock, all his live the noble was the only one who could see Erebi; he was supposed to be a company for him but now, all the world they knew changed in a drastic way; everything pointed to this strange girl who had just arrived, she was seeing the inner self but it wasn’t all, she could listen to him and was talking to him.

The girl was again staring at them thinking that seeing a small vampire was something you see everyday. With that reaction, the only thing Erebi did was to hide on Dimitri’s coat and whispered to him “You have to do something; being seen by others isn’t funny at all…”

For a strange reason, Dimitri tried to defend and calmed him at the same time he thought about a plan. He was getting nervous and when that happened his instincts were the ones that acted; he suddenly jumped out of the chair were he was sitting and ended a few meters away from the girl, he was trying to leave some distance until he had finished his analysis. On the other hand, the girl was surprised but she wasn’t scared at all.

“You seem to be an interesting kind of human” She said while she laughed; this behavior and what she said increased Dimitri’s nerves.

When she noticed his reaction, she tried to change the subject “Emm, well, if you are not helping, I think I’ll have to search for him by my own”

“Who are you searching for?” It was the first time she heard his true voice, she was delighted with it and now she had blushed a little; the noble noticed this and concluded he had the advantages over the situation; his personality changed very fast.

“I’m searching for a noble named Dimitri Bachelier, I’m supposed to be the new maid working for him” She tried to sound serious but she was embarrassed and Dimitri didn’t help; after hearing that, he and Erebi started to laugh like never.

The girl was getting more embarrassed and her face was tuning red like a tomato; she stood there watching how they laughed and waited until they stopped. When she finally could reach his eyes, she stare at them very cold; anyway, Dimitri smiled.

“Why didn’t you mention that before? So you are my new maid? What is your name?” He was happy, something you could not appreciate every day, however those were many questions for her and she nearly felt to the floor when she tried to answer. Before she landed, Dimitri hold her and got near her face.

“Be careful, you need to be strong…look, you have something on you face” He saw a piece of candy over her cheek and licked it, after all it was something normal for him; after that he helped the girl to stand up and waited for an answer; both, him and Erebi were enjoying the situation, they had always loved to play with women.

“My…My name is Saga Waterlot, nice to meet you Sir!!!!” She nearly screamed after all she was still embarrassed.

“If that is the case, I’m very glad to say, welcome! You seem to be an interesting human…” He smiled in an evil way.

“What do you mean with that sir?” Saga was confused and scared a little bit.

“Well, you can see him; no one can do that. You are going to be very powerful but not for now…” He said as he pointed Erebi who was again at his shoulder

“This is going to be very interesting” Erebi said

Saga looked at them; a breeze was passing and her clothes didn’t help, she was getting very cold and it was getting late. Dimitri, as a gentleman, took his coat off and placed it over Saga; then he grabbed her face between his fingers and in a soft way he said

“You can’t get ill, after all you have to take care of me right?”

With that, the rest of the walking kept in silence until they arrived to the mansion.

Chapter 4

“Dimitri!! Wake up!! You need to do it now!” Erebi was trying to wake Dimitri because a weird situation was happening at the mansion; apparently, Elizabeth went to the town to see if they had already found the body, which was right. She came back and told Sophia they should go to the ceremony so they won’t bring any suspicion; Sophia agreed with her and they both decided to let their master asleep.

Anyway Erebi knew he was going to be upset because of that incident so he was trying to wake him up before Sophia left because at that time, Elizabeth was arriving to the town.

“Dimitri!!” He shouted and finally it had an answer.

“What is happening Erebi?” Dimitri asked in a lazy voice but after some minutes he realized that had happened. “Did I felt asleep? It was her fault…Well what is the problem Erebi?” He asked.

“If you don’t hurry and get downstairs she is going to leave too! They both are going to the town; they said they were going to the ceremony of the lady you killed”

“And they were going without me right?” Dimitri laughed to himself and then in a quick way he dressed up and went downstairs; he surprised Sophia who was about to leave the mansion.

“Just in time right?” he said. Sophia understood he knew everything and just answer a “I’m sorry…we thought it would be better if you didn’t go”

“But it was my fault after all…Well it doesn’t matter right now, we’ll talk about this incident when we return” He was serious and that scared Sophia to her nerves because she knew everything they’ve done was a bad idea. The good thing was that Dimitri was the kind of person who forgives quickly and after some minutes of walking he returned to be the same.

When they were arriving to the town, they felt the mood was a bad one and the fault was not the ceremony; in fact Elizabeth was the center of a bad attention. This happened all the time; when one of them went alone, villagers would start to yell things at them; they hated them for some reason and that made Dimitri to behave very bad; he could not stand the villager who did that and it was worst because they were getting with Elizabeth; Dimitri loved her like his daughter.

He began to walk very fast to the crowd, Sophia was behind him trying to make him stop but it was useless, he was in the middle with Elizabeth who was very serious and with her head in a low position. When the villagers saw Dimitri they were scared, some of them tried to escape but it seemed he was faster; at the end Dimitri had them were he wanted, he began to talk.

“Excuse me, If I’m not wrong this behavior remind me of low beings, how to say it, you are low human being!” He was now beginning to shout, the only thing the maids could do was to stay in silence. “If you told things to me, it won’t be a problem but don’t ever say anything bad to them!!” He pointed at Sophia and Elizabeth and then, Glade, one of the strongest men at the town said his worst mistake.

“Or else, what, are you going to kill us or something familiar?” He was expecting the other villagers to laugh with him but it was all the contrary, they kept in silence watching his reaction. Everything happened very fast, Dimitri took his neck and then throw him to the floor, he then kneel down still holding Glade’s neck and whispered to him
“You are smart my friend, I would kill you right now if I wanted, but your sister is watching and, since you have to raise her on your own…Let’s say you need to live for now” Dimitri stood up and turned back to the villagers “Well if the problem is solved, can someone tell me were the ceremony of that poor lady, Tara is taking place?” No one answered.

“Are you stupid or..” Dimitri was stopped by someone, it was Elizabeth, her eyes were telling him it was enough. When he realized it the only thing he could say was “Oh! Yes, I’m the stupid, of course it is taking place at her house; excuse me…” The Three of them left.

Everything felt worst at Tara’s home, everyone was crying for her and when they arrived, they felt hated by everyone; the first one to talk was Tara’s mother, she looked pale and her eyes were looking terrible because of crying that much.

“What are you doing here!? It’s your entire fault!” She said. Dimitri was about to laughed but it could be a bad idea, the one who laughed was Erebi.

“Excuse me Madam, why are you getting the entire fault to me? I didn’t do anything wrong” Dimitri said coughing a little bit in order to retain the laughing

“She was fund near you mansion, it has to be your fault1” Now it was Tara’s father who was talking.

“You are being foolish; we didn’t do anything wrong and if they found her there, it was all her fault; the forest is dangerous at nigh…” Elizabeth said in a cold voice and they didn’t answer.

“Well, we must go now, but before we do that, we wanted to give you this” Sophia said while she handed some flowers to the mother, then they left.

The noble saw both faces and he noticed they were angry at him for behaving the way he did. “So, it is all my fault right?” They didn’t answer and one of the things Dimitri dislike the most was being ignored.

“Go home now…” He said; both of them looked at him with surprise

“But, master….” Sophia said

“I say go home now! I need to be alone for some time” He began to walk on the other direction leaving Sophia and Elizabeth sad and quiet.

Dimitri walked and walked; Erebi was quiet too. After some hours he arrived to a station and he sat down there.
“Excuse me sir, could you help me?” It was a lively voice

Chapter 3

“ Oh it’s you Liza, I’m glad you are here because you haven’t heard the story right?” Somehow Sophia was feeling a happy but sad sensation when she said that and for that reason she just closed her eyes and smiled.

“Yes, that is true and I want to know about your past; you know mine but I don’t know much about you…” Elizabeth’s voice was serious and cold for a girl of 15 years (apparently).

“Well if that is all, I’ll start.”

My father died when I was young, mother was pregnant but we had a good life, I mean we didn’t live on the streets and we were known because of our last name. Lilith Cady, that was her name and she was an excellent mother but people judge her because of her name, they thought about an old legend about a perverse woman who was supposed to be the first wife of Adam; at the end she was punished to stay in the center of the earth. People were stupid for believing that, but no one could blame them and we had to accept the facts.

Anyways, it was a cold day when we met for the first time; I was walking because the baby needed some fruits; I was daydreaming about many things and then I felt but someone hold me and I was very embarrassed because of that but when I saw him, many feeling came to my mind and I was blushing down. At the first point I didn’t know why I was doing that but then his voice interrupted.

“Excuse me lady, I’m sorry for any inconvenient” He said, he was smiling but somehow it seemed like a sad smile and that made it more interesting, I felt attracted to him and since that time we began to walk on the afternoon; talking about everything; the time passed and I could sense his smile was getting into a real one, a feeling full of self pride covered me and it felt very good.
Both of us were happy and my mom didn’t say anything about it which was strange but I didn’t care, I was happy. Six months passed very quickly and suddenly, my birthday was coming, I was excited because he said he was going to give me a gift, a true gift, something that no one had given me before; at the end that made me blind of the true situation that was happening at home.
My mother was getting very depressed because she saw me and him getting alone and she knew that I was going to leave soon; she was going to stay alone with a baby she couldn’t raise; she took a difficult decision. The night before my special day she killed the baby, she probably was thinking she could be free but then she realized what she did and felt miserable; on the other hand, I was punished…

She was crying when I woke up, I didn’t understood anything but one moment after, we were standing outside, near a river and many villagers were watching us; I began to hide myself and then noticed something my mother was carrying and everything was clear, except for one thing. “We have committed a sin! And now we shall be punished by God!!!!!!!” My mother screamed as she pulled herself and I to the nearest bridge and stood up in order to jump.

“Mother, what are you…doing?..I’m scared1! Please stop” I was crying because I was very afraid then her true self appeared.

“It’s your entire fault!!!! And now we both have to pay” She took off a piece of wool and put it on my nose, I began to feel dizzy and fight; the result was horrible because I could see and hear everything but I could not move.
One of the things I saw was that she was to coward to kill herself; I then felt how I was drowning and thought I was dead, however, I heard his voice once again, he was worried and also he was holding me. My eyes began to open and all that I could notice was two fangs getting near me “I’m sorry my dear Sophia but I don’t want you to die….I don’t want to be alone…” I think some tears were coming through his face while he said it. The last thing I remembered was feeling something very strong and then, well Liza, you have me here.

Elizabeth heard everything and was surprised to know her story but she did not show this, in fact, she preferred to keep in silence for some minutes.

“I think your weird ability is working, look at him” Elizabeth said in a happy way.

“You are right, he’s fallen asleep; I think that, that were my intentions, he needed to rest” Sophia was happy because for some reason her voice calmed the vampire to the point of falling asleep; that ability was special, vampires didn’t sleep but with her, Dimitri could.

“Well I’m leaving him to you, I want to walk and set things at the village…” Elizabeth said as she disappeared. Meanwhile, Sophia played with Dimitri’s hair, he looked so peaceful when he slept and she enjoyed it. After some minutes she decided to go so she left him on the bed and covered him with a blanket.

“Sleep well my dear Dimitri” She whispered, then she kissed his forehead and left the room.

Chapter 2

It rained all the day, especially, there was a big storm on the morning; at that time Dimitri was not at his mansion, he was still out, walking through the forest and getting wet, something he really liked.

The trip was long, after all getting a body away from the mansion was hard, leaving no clues was harder but it was done. After that, Dimitri began to walk to his home, he could go faster but for an odd reason he knew he was going to be punished for what he did.

“I told you, you were going to feel like this didn’t I? Erebi said

“I know, I know, you are right…” Dimitri answered very calmed, that behavior surprised Erebi and he had to ask why.

“Do you agree with me?? That is very strange considering we are always fighting” Erebi was now at Dimitri’s head, on the other side, our noble sighed and then grabbed Erebi, with an evil smile on his face he said “ You know I don’t agree with you! And please, I beg you, don’t talk to me! What could they think…That I’m crazy? No one can see you and I look like I’m talking to anybody!” with that said he threw Erebi to a tree, anyway he dodged it and then laughed loudly

“You now you can’t kill me! After all I’m you and..who is going to see you here..a tree?”

The rest of the trip was full of silence; Dimitri knew Erebi was right, he didn’t know why he appeared but for some reason he did and he was all the contrary to him, which annoyed every single part of him and nothing could be done, that was the worst part for Dimitri. Erebi, on the other hand, enjoyed life and expressed everything that Dimitri did not; he was happy because no one could see him and sometimes he could help Dimitri, but it was very rare.

Finally, Dimitri arrived to the mansion; no one receive him so he felt relieved but everything changed when he knocked at the door; he heard some familiar steps heading towards him and somehow he paralyzed because he knew who was going to open the door. He was wrong, the one who opened the door was Sophia, one of his maids; she was a kind person and cared a lot for him, almost like the noble was her brother.

“Master!! Please enter quickly, you are going to get ill, look at yourself! You are all wet” She said as she entered the noble and placed a towel on his head; Dimitri didn’t say a word because he was waiting to be punished, he resigned himself to obey what Sophia was doing; with that they went upstairs and then to Dimitri’s room. The room was big and it was full of things, at the right part of it, there was the comfortable bed with two lamps, one on each side. If you looked at the front, you could see a long desk full of books which came from the personal library on the left side of the room, in front of the library there were two comfortable chairs and a little table.

“Sit down; I’ll bring you something hot all right?” Sophia said but before she was going to left the room, the noble stopped her

“Sophia, why are you acting that strange? After all, you know what I did, and were is Elizabeth?” He looked at her and a second after, she was sitting with him on the bed.

“We all know what you did, I told Elizabeth I would take care about the subject, but I can’t blame you; after all it was my fault…the blood was not ready on time and..” she stopped because a finger was placed on her lips.

“Don’t blame yourself dear Sophia, it was not your fault, it was mine, for not being stronger” Dimitri said at the same time he gave a hug to her.

“Master….you are the same caring noble I met years ago…” Sophia was now stroking his cheek

“You still remember that day? What was nice that day, I can only remember bad things happening, so why don’t you refresh my memory?” Dimitri said as he got his head on Sophia’s legs

“If you want that I’ll do it Master…” Sophia said in a soft voice.

Suddenly there was another visitor in the room; it was Elizabeth, the other maid that lived on the mansion.
