*Circus Announcer's Voice*
Welcome all to Elricbrothersfan's Blog! Just in case you were wondering, I'm Elricbrothersfan! Ha ha ha ha! This is my blog!

*Back to regular voice*
Yep. Kinda hope that was obvious and went without saying, but it's always nice to have it in writing.

Here's a little bit about myself:
Nickname(s): Elricbrothersfan, Elricz, Elri, El, Elricbros, Al, Elly, Anna (my IRL nickname that I forgot to add) (the list just keeps on growing, but I don't mind!)
Gender: female (Would all pervs please leave now. I don't want to have to start transmuting little prison cells all over the place here.)
Likes: Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (duh, that's why my screen name is Elricbrothersfan), Ouran High School Host Club, Naoki Urasawa's Monster, the Pokémon franchise, Soul Eater, crocheting, knitting, reading, friends, taking quizzes, anime and manga in general, making my own cosplay outfits (sorry, no pics), and it goes on...
Dislikes: pervs, slow internet connections (I regularly smack my laptop when it freezes up, aka all the time), preps (only because they're so... perfect, and I don't even compare), dogs that bark too much at all hours of the night and day (including my own adorable furballs), brussels sprouts (doesn't everyone hate them?)
TheO Friends (aka those that I have chatted with at some point and either subscribe to me, I subscribe to, or both/all, in no particular order): Keba Si Rota, Viollet, Spectre, IJNeptune, pandabearluv, sasusaku 4ever, dragonseiryuka, Blindloverr713, ultramaniaclover, Immortal Queen, TheDarkEclipse, AnnieSquiggle, FrAiSe TaRte, Strawhats Luffy, copycatkid, Manga Kid, chichi6, fuko chan, zxJohnFanime91xz, Inphinity, DemonsandAngels, Zuzu Uchiha, raven1995, somegirl, moletta, Angel, willotaku, fanglord, Linku-kun, infinatelove42, 36inc, sweetboy96
Enemies: none other than my laptop, and if you read above you'd know why
Cosplay: Edward Elric (Which, technically, is crossplay, plus I'm not blond, so... yeah, it was weird), currently growing my hair out to do a Conqueror of Shamballa version of Alphonse (I'm too frugal to buy a wig, plus my hair's just the right color, haha).

~Elricz (It's me, so don't freak out and think someone stole my blog! I listed Elricz as one of my nicknames so... read and don't freak. Which almost rhymes.)

Some of my favorite quotes:
"When I was a kid, I said to my father one afternoon, 'Daddy, will you take me to the zoo' He answered, 'If the zoo wants you, let them come and get you.'" ~Jerry Lewis

"一期一会" (Ichigoichie, each moment only once) ~Japanese Proverb

"He who laughs first, laughs last." ~ French proverb

"I don't know how to deal with [...]" ~ Crona from Soul Eater

Okay, there are more, but I can't remember where I got them from. So I'll add them later.

New Study Finds Allergies Contribute to Daringness

For me, at least. (I was joking about the "New Study" part. Just thought it'd be a cool title.) Been out sick the past three days 'cuz the pollen's absolutely insane. And in my congested, slightly loopy state, I've decided to try to livestream tomorrow while I work on an icon for RinMustang22.

Expect the livestream link to appear on Artist Cubby at about 2 pm US Eastern Standard Daylight Time. It's sad that I don't know the correct name for my own timezone...

ALSO! I've noticed that several members have been doing voice memes lately. No, I'm not doing one, I'm trying to help Keba Si Rota get more askers for her voice meme. Plus, if you ask her questions, she'll draw you a picture! All you have to do is ask some questions, so check her voice meme post out here and get asking!

Ciao for now! *cough cough sniffle* Stupid allergies...

Habemus Papa!

It was just announced that Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Archbishop of Buenos Aires, was elected as Pope. He's made his first public appearance and spoken to the crowds gathered in Vatican City, where it's about half-past-eight Italy time.

He's chosen the name of Francis I. And, in the Italian fashion, I say...

VIVA IL PAPA! ("Long live the Pope!")

Broken.

Rant is on page 2. Skip to page 3 if you don't want to read it. There are those weeks when you're just tired, and there are those weeks when things are tiring. But this week was one of those weeks where I was completely exhausted and lif...

Slept Through Friday Night

*sighs* Missed another Friday...

After being up since 4 am, being called a choice word on the bus on the way home from school (for no reason at all), and having to do chores, I just conked out right on the floor in my room. I'd intended to do my post after finishing my chores, but after being up for sixteen or seventeen hours, all I wanted to do was sleep.

I didn't really have that much planned in the first place. Hmm... what else is there...?

That's right! Three of my friends' birthdays all fell on last Saturday (cool, right? What're the odds?), so I made them cards.

My favorite one was the one shaped like a sandwich with a chibi face. Sooo kawaii!

(Will add image later... can't find camera as of now...)

Long story short, the recipient told me it was the coolest card he'd ever gotten, and that I "make the awesomest birthday cards ever!"

YES! *punches air in victory*

Ciao XD

The Importance of Self-Advocacy

You know how there are those teachers that you have that are super intimidating? I know everyone's had at least one. What do you do when you feel there's an issue in the class and you need to take it up with the teacher?

Talk to him/her. No matter how scary they are, you have to bring it up with them before the problem snowballs.

"But what if they're super mean?"

Well, you just have to approach them calmly and respectfully and say what's on your mind (pleasantly). They won't yell at you for bringing up an issue with them; if anything, they'll be glad you brought it up.

By bringing up a problem with your teacher, you are being a self-advocate. You are standing up for yourself and taking responsibility to straighten out an issue. In some cases, when you talk to the teacher, the issue you thought was a problem might just be a misunderstanding.

This doesn't just apply to school, though. In life, there are going to be people you'll butt heads with, whether it be coworkers, your boss, or just other people in general. Don't bottle stuff up, talk it out. It's better for you in the long run.

Betcha didn't know I could go all philosophical, did ya? ;)

Ciao, all Fun stuff coming up later!
