Fangirling to the Max!

I started waking myself up in the mornings on Saturdays so I could watch the newest season of the Pokemon anime. BOY am I glad I did!

Last week's episode introduced N (one of my absolute favorite characters of the franchise [of all time]), and I almost had a brain aneurysm from fangirling so much. His voice actor sounded just like I'd imagined him to sound like! And he acted just like he did in the game.

This week's episode introduced Cheren, the new Aspertia City Gym Leader. He had an exhibition match with Ash (and won with his Herdier). I almost had an even bigger brain aneurysm when I realized that his voice actor is Tom Haberkorn!!

This just makes me want to watch the anime until the series conclusion, which I'm told is a battle against Team Plasma and the newly-resurrected Reshiram. That just begs the question, Which is canon? Black or White? I'm thinking White (sadly), only because at the beginning of White 2 the goal is to get Reshiram since White's hero(ine) got Zekrom. Though I really wish Black was canon, there's nothing indicating either one is.

ONTO REQUESTS! asdfghjkl I feel bad for not being able to get requests done... I have the Toshiro Hitsugaya fanart done, and am planning out the Sora fanart, and am trying to research the Dirty Pair anime, and am trying to figure out if Jack the dog is supposed to be Jake the dog from Adventure Time... *looks up at tv* and am facepalming at the "Flashlight Friends" ad on tv. *facepalm times 2* Using that same announcer lady does not the product sell! And didn't she do the Pillow Pets (and lighted ones) and Seat Pets and Tummy Stuffers commercials too?! That company really needs to quit while it's ahead.

Getting back on tangent... I still have five spots open if you wanna make a request. If you made one already and want to make another, you can (given no one else has made a request in, like, weeks).

kuh-MISS-shun: Commission!

My besties in school commissioned me to do SakuTo (SakuraxNaruto) and NaruHina (NarutoxHinata) drawings after seeing my artwork (and stealing my sketchbooks to flip through before I nabbed 'em back). Although technically the one who wanted SakuTo didn't know it was a commission until after I finished the drawing. *realizes how evil that was*

We agreed that since I'd helped him out with a bunch of academic crap for three hours over the course of a week (and the drawing itself took three hours), he could pay me in the form of a sketchbook. A nice sketchbook, not like the cheapo ones from WalMart ~~that I used to do the commissions~~. *shot* I figured $6 should be enough. ~~I almost charged more cuz of how much he owes me, but I was too nice to do that.~~

The one that commissioned NaruHina I texted earlier to tell him I was treating it as a commission. He argued that I didn't charge our other friend, to which I replied, "Yes I did!! Six bucks like I was gonna charge you." Although given he single-handedly edited our English project video in a day, I kinda owed him. We decided that this drawing would be free, but for any others after it he'd get charged.

Now one of my other friends wants to commission me too! It'll be ~~interesting~~ scary to see what kind of a drawing he wants me to do. I have to wait until Monday to find out what he wants, though.

Feels weird to be paid for my artwork... though I do wish I'd get more commissions. Now that my only source of pocket money (AKA babysitting) moved across town, I'm practically hunting for pocket change just to buy Japanese snacks... like Yan-Yan! I tried the hazelnut/vanilla one yesterday and it was FREAKING AMAZING!!! Can't wait to try Hello Panda and Red Bean Mochi... it seems a pilgrimage to World Market is in order the next time I've got pocket money.

Clocking Out

I think I should stop promising amazing posts when I end up being too tired to write them.

I'm really sorry, guys. With the craziness of Monday's events (both for me personally and for the poor people of Boston), as well as everything going on in school, I've just been so exhausted.

I might be able to get around to writing the post for tonight on Monday instead of putting it off until next week. Still tied up with that lovely poetry project, which will be demanding most of my attention this weekend.
