KYAA I just finished Kamisama Kiss and I think I'm gonna cry~
The ending got me so bad. I knew it was a romance anime but seriously... I didn't see it coming that Tomoe would do a virtual--though subdued--180 and do what he did in the last few minutes of the last episode... Tomoe, you bad fox~!
Granted, it's not the best anime to watch when trying to get over a severe case of heartbreak, but it was so adorable I couldn't resist~ and I mean, seriously, Tomoe's dubber was fricking J. Michael Tatum. That face AND Sebby's voice put together and I almost melted watching it. Especially after the Lucky Hammer Incident.
My second favorite scene was in the first episode when Nanami thought, "Tomoe? Is that his [Mikage's] wife?" I laughed so hard, my dad kicked me out of his room (I was watching it on my lappy) so I had to go in the kitchen. Of course, my favorite scene was the ending (I tend to find the last scene of an anime my favorite, or at least that's how FMAB, Ouran, Soul Eater, and Fruits Basket were).
I sense a trend...
I have decided that Nanami and Tomoe are my #2 Ship. (First is my OTP EdWin, third is NxHilda.)
Anyways, if you like a good romance anime, go watch it!
If you need a laugh... go watch it!
If you enjoy seeing pretty boys
abuse each other with animal ears, go watch it!
Ciao for now~
Love, Elricz <3
I survived my finals (for semester classes), and caught a lucky break since my year-long classes didn't have midterms, yay!
Second semester started Thursday (which is an awkward day of the week to start on, I think), and now I have Spanish 3 Honors and Biology I Honors instead of Algebra 3 and Dance 2.
It was funny, the first day of Spanish, our first writing assignment was to write a little paragraph about what we were worried about, what our goals were, etc. so Srta. would have a writing sample to go by as far as what we remembered. In my paragraph (in Spanish) I wrote, "I don't remember much about Spanish, but I'm sure I remember more than I think I do."
Ohhh the irony...!
Biology has been entertaining; my teacher has a rabbit named Calvin who was let out of his cage to run about while we did our classwork yesterday. He's a gray flop-eared and pretty adorable :3 I talked to him while working; since we had to make a map of the classroom to-scale, I was measuring the wall in the back corner of the room when I asked him to hop a few paces to the left so I wouldn't step on him. He complied nicely and without any fuss :D
I am totally not a bunny whisperer, nor am I crazy... I kinda *extremely gently* suggested he hop away by pressing the side of my foot against his behind, without hurting him.
We've got no school on Monday, so my gal-pals and I were thinking about hanging out at the 'mall' five minutes from my house (it's more of a giant shopping complex than an indoor facility). And... I've been doing more artwork lately that I'm trying to figure out how to get onto my lappy... traditional pencil artwork doesn't really get along with my scanner, pooh :/ But I will find a camera of high enough quality to do my artwork justice.
My friends gave me a confidence boost by emphatically telling me how awesome my artwork is... like usual, I took the compliment by shrugging it off to the tune of "I'm decent," but was reminded that I have my own art identity when my cousin (of quite a more impressive art caliber than myself, to be honest) told me my art was awesome.
3... 2... 1... *blasts off to the moon, leaving a confetti trail in her wake*
My entire school district implemented a two hour delay due to the extreme weather conditions (the high today was freezing, the low 12 degrees; that's incredibly abnormal for where I live), and instead of sleeping in like I should have, I spent my ...

I decided to finalize my goals for this year (art-wise) and make a post so this time next year, I can look back and see what I accomplished.
1. Crack the Top 8 for fanart. I've been dreaming of that moment for over a year, ...

Like I mentioned at the bottom of my art summary for this year, 2013 has been crazy and eventful in ways I thought impossible for the longest time.
The craziest part of it all, I think, was seeing my mother for the first time in six years: she finally flew up to see me, and we had four days together, packed with shopping trips (though there wasn't much buying going on, mostly looking), a visit to HiWire Trampoline Park, a sad attempt at roller skating on my part, going to church together (I could've passed out when she told my dad she wanted to take me to church), the state museum (where she bought me the coolest necklace ever from the gift shop, I haven't taken it off for like three days), and finally, going to see Frozen together.
It was funny; in the theater, there were about three or four little kids that kept giving me this weird look... personally I don't find anything wrong with being sixteen and wanting to see a nice, family-friendly animated movie with my mom. Besides... there were two girls about my age sitting in the row below us that weren't getting the stare! Not fair :(
Anyways... lots of things to look forward to in 2014: finishing sophomore year, eventually getting my driver's permit, hopefully closing the rift between myself and a friend, installing Manga Studio EX5 and using the upgraded version (which I am looking very forward to and surprisingly haven't done yet), starting junior year, turning seventeen, and maybe, just maybe, getting a single yellow rose from a special someone* like I prayed about, and have been dreaming of, since since sixth grade.
In less than 10 minutes, my dad, grandma, and I will ring in the new year here by watching the ball drop in Times Square (via TV of course), and drinking sparkling grape juice. So it'll be a nice, quiet New Year's celebration... except for the fireworks that've been going off behind my house since 6:30 this evening.
HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!
Love and hugs always,
*Informally known as the prayer to St. Therese of Lisieux (Theresa of the Little Flower), the person praying asks for their prayer to be answered with a quantity of yellow roses of their choosing. Anything can be asked, and any number of roses can be requested. In my case, I asked for a single yellow rose from my soul mate. Cheesy, yes, but hey, I was in sixth grade.
