Lightbulbs Hate Me.

I changed a lightbulb in my kitchen today, and it went out just a few hours later, so I went back a few minutes ago to take it out, gently shake it to see if the wire on the inside disconnected, and replace it... when the stupid thing broke off in the socket.

REALLY?! I must have robbed someone/been a gremlin in a past life.

So I tried intercom-calling my dad (who was upstairs), and he didn't answer the phone, so I yelled up the stairs to him. I waited ten minutes for him to come down (he was busy), and in that time I threw my milk out because I was scared I'd gotten some glass shards in it when the bulb broke.

So he comes down, I go upstairs to do a little cleaning, and come down not three minutes later, bulb taken care of and replaced, and I ask him if I was a gremlin in a past life, to which he does not comment.

I was totally a gremlin in a past life... or a lightbulb-hater.

1. Is it just me, or has this meme been around before? As in, we've been tagged before? Yeah... cuz I tagged you.
2. Do you ever feel pressured to watch popular anime (as opposed to not popular)? Yes to Naruto... only so I could hold my own in NaruTrivia. But no to Bleach. I wanna start watching that on my own.
3. If I dissed your favorite band, how would you react? I'd love to say I'd diss your favorite band, but I like the bands you listen to, so I can't. I'd say, "Whatever. You don't have to like J-Rock, just don't diss it in front of me."
4. Is it sad that I'm running out of question ideas less than halfway through? No. We've done this meme before. What's a little sad is that I'm far from running out of answers.
5. Have you ever heard a word and thought that the definition was something completely different than what it really was? (Example: When I was 10, I thought the word "voracious" meant "really, really good at something".) No--oh, wait, yeah. "Spooning." You don't wanna know what I thought it meant... ~~stupid pervy friends of mine~~
6. If Person A is driving from New York to California at 100 miles per hour and Person B is driving from California to New York at 120 miles per hour, in what state would they crash into each other? The State of Confusion. It doesn't matter what speed they're driving at, they'd be on opposite sides of the highway. Even then, is it even possible that they'd be taking the exact same route to and from New York and California? ~~Betcha didn't see that answer coming...~~
7. What was your favorite toy as a child? A Lamp Chop doll. I don't even remember what show Lamb Chop was from, but I think she was a puppet that used to be on the Mr. Rogers Show.
8. Parlez-vous francais? Nein... but I don't speak German either. Pero yo hablo espanol!
9. Have you ever typed a message with your tongue before? No, but I did with my toes once!

1. If an assassin suddenly attacked, how prepared would you be? Not very... my only chance would be to fend him off with my paintbrush.

Productive Week

Like the title says, this week (or rather, the past couple of days) has been really productive for me.

Week Highlights:
- Read my summer reading book for next year (The Running Dream, Wendelin Van Draanen)
- Got my chores done
- Worked on most of the prompts for 30 Days of Art (1-14 except 11)
- Went to the movies with a friend (which was payback for about a zillion favors I did for him)
- Took my dad out for Father's Day dinner (we have a habit of doing this early)
- Decided to plan a 4th of July party so I can invite the friends I made at school this past year

Of course, I anticipate that next week will be even more productive: I've got a lot of artwork in the works/in the planning stage, and hope to go out job hunting next week.

I've also decided that I'm gonna get back to having a regular topic schedule so you guys know what to expect. I promise it's not gonna be a Character Analysis thing like I did with Soul Eater, because after the first two weeks it was a major fail. I'm thinking tutorials on different nail designs (my friends say I have mad skills at nail polish designs), but I don't wanna bore any male readers. Maybe I'll do that next week... not sure. Comment with any ideas!

Think I'll keep it short this week. Oh, that reminds me! I finally hit 50 subscribers, so to celebrate I'll be doing a fanart (aiming for next week, but we'll see how that goes). Thanks to everyone that subscribed to me, and thank you even if you don't!
