i awoke, groomed my ruffled fur than stepped outside it was a beautiful day in greenleaf. the freshkill pile had been fully stalked up. i saw lionheart and blueheart come out of the nursery one after the other. lionheart padded up to me and told me that hios mate darkheart had her kits. i followed him to the nursery. i stopped at the nursery entrence and mewed"darkheart can i come in". she lifted her head and replied "yes blackstar your always welcome to come in." i padded throught the bramble enterence and saw lionheart grooming darkhearts fur. then i looked down and saw two tiny bundles of fur suckling. "do you know what your going to name them?" "the first one the gold colored female is goldkit, and her brother is duskkit for his dusk colored fur."

i awoke and thought today was the day. i had 3 apprintices doing there assament and 7 new apprintices. it was diffcult to choose an mentor for heartkit but littlepool said she was spending alot of time in the medicine cat den and he needed an apprintice. i have everything figured out. plus nightcloud was going into the nursery so it all worked out and her apprintice was doing really well. the apprintices came back with more prey than they could carry so their mentors carried some. i walked over to them and said "you all are ready to be made warriors expecially the way you fought in our last badger attack." they all started jumping up with joy and ran off to tell their mother mothfur. than i walked over to the nursery and said "kits come out here" they all came at once and said "yes moonstar?" "tonight will be your apprintice ceromony. they all ran back in and started telling their mothers. at sunhigh i stepped up on the highledge and called out the fimaliar call"let all cats old enough to cath their own prey join here beneth the highledge fr a clan meeting." after i told all of the new mentors they were looking as proud as ever. when all of the clan gathered i beconed to the apprintices first.their fur was grooomed and mothfur and crowfeather looked as happy as ever."I Moonstar, leader of MoonClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. another day of buitiful greenleaf sun with all the plentiful prey and all the kits mewin. wait kits since when has grayheart had her kits. i just then saw darkcloud come out of the nursery. i padded over to the nursery and asked if i could come in. i went inside the nursery andsaw whitefang siting beside his mate grayheart staring at two bundles of fur. "what are their names?" i asked politly. " the little white she cat is lovekit and the gray tom is deathkit." such suiting names for two little kits that you have no idea what they will act like i thought. i turned to jellokit and foxkit" this is your 6th moon isnt it?" "yes" jellokit mewed she had always been the bold one. "than tonight you can be made apprintices" they started bouncing around then i left and crawled back into my nest to think. redpelt i mewed i know he was standing right outside the entrence. "yes lightstar." "come in" he slowly walked in. "would you like to have another apprintice." his eyes lite up the last apprintice he had was grayheart. "yes thank you lightstar am i gwtting foxkit ive always liked her." "ill give you foxkit and can you fetch me speckletail shes due for an apprintice." after i talked to speckletail i jumped up on the rock heap that was our meeting place. "so whitestorm finally had her kits sure ill come look." i followed stonepelt to the nursery to find that midnightpool had just left some borage leaves. i stepped into the nursery and mewed "congratulations whitestorm". whitstorm was one of my apprintices. i saw the two little kits. "this one is riverkit" she said flicking her tail to white almost light blue she cat "and this one is flowerkit" she said pointing to a gray she cat. i figured she looked alot like stonepelts mother flowerpelt. i looked at stormclaw and said "your kits are ready to be apprintices" "i know". "who do you think should mentor them". "how about midnightpool for icekit she always in in the medicine cats den and rainfur for bluekit" bluewhisker said. "well now that you mention it midnightpool had asked me for icekit and rainfur is a good nobal warrior" i mewed. as i exited the nursery icefoot came up to me. "i think my kit is ready to be made warrior and so are spottedpaw and swiftpaw." "i agree compleatly. can you tell them o and tell rainfur and midnightpool to come see me." i awoke to blazing moonlight after the worse dream yet my clan was being eat alive.(talk bout weird) but as soon as i woke up i heard the two queens padding up. "come on in ferncloud and boulderfur". they dipped their heads as they passed by the lichen at the entrence of my den. boulderfur dipped her head and said "they kits are ready to be made apprintices mine just turned 6 moons and fernclouds have been 6 moons for sometime now and we wont have room for them when darkheart moves in here soon." i cant believe how it had slipped my mind i foegot all about the kits i said "im so sorry ive just had alot of things to think about illl take care of it right away and besides ive been letting my duties escape me the three apprintices are ready to go get me lionheart darkheart and moonfur please." they dipped their heads once more and then dissappered a moment later the three mentors appered. "i think its time that your apprintices be assed." "its bout time" lionheart said. " i know and im sorry for that we also have new apprintices to be made will you tell nightheart when she gets back please lionheart."without waiting for a reply i turned to darkheart "congratulations and will you fetch me brambleclaw icefang spottedpelt ferncloud and duskheart". as they left i fell back into a gental sleep then woke back up after the same dream. "blacksatr blackstar there have been dogs on our terrotiorty" not agin i thought. all of the cats i wanted had been on the same patrol. i stretched my neck so i could groom my matted fur. "come on in" they approached. "you all will have apprintices when i do the naming ceromine tonight.ferncloud i know u just got out of the nursery but i have faith in you." i walked out of my den after they had left to see warriors carring food up to the fresh kill pile. i walked up to lionheart and asked "did they catch all of that thereselves." he dipped his head in reply after all the patrols were done i called a clan meeting. "i know ive been slacking and i would love it if you would forgive me.we have some ceromonies to preform." i beconed the four aprintices forward there fur was groomed and they were happy. " i call upon my warrior ancesters to look down upon these apprintices they have trained hard to learn the ways of you noble code and i commend them to be warriors in their turn" i turned toward the apprintices and asked "do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan at even the cost of your lives." the apprintices all shook there heads and said "i do"all at one time. i turned toward foxpaw "then by the powers of starclan i give you your warrior name foxpaw from this day forward you will be known as

"wildkit from this moment untell you recieve your warrior name you willl be known asd wildpaw. Ferncloud i know youve been in the nursery and your skills may be a little dull. you are a grat fighter and hunter i expect yopu to pass these quailties on to wildkit." " darkkit from this moment untill you have recieved your warrior name you will be know as darkpaw. icefang your due for another apprintice you taught cinderfur well and i hope youll do the same with darkpaw." "yellowkit from this moment untell you recieve your warrior name you willl be known as yellowkit. brambleclaw this is your first apprintice ive taught you well and i know youll pass in to this apprintice." "lightkit from this moment untell you recieve your warrior name you will be known as lightpaw. duskheart you have suffered a great loss when your first apprintice was killed by a monster and you are due for another one as well." i awoke to see the fresh kill pile was full such a nice day to start out with. i saw my duepty redpelt sitting on the highledge arranging border patroles and more hunting partys. the border party of hawkclaw mouseclaw and speckletail with there apprintices featherpaw blackpaw andwhitepaw. today was there assament. the three mentores came up to me and said they done really well in there hunting and they even fought a badger off the terrotory. "they are ready to be warriors"i said . mouseclaw hung back to tell me she wanted to retire to the elders den her old bones just couldnt take it. itold her "i will make the cats warriors in a minute just go tell them and ill announce your decision"
after all of the patrols came back i jumped up on the highledge and yowled "let all cats old enough to catch there own prey join here beneth the highledge for a clan meeting." i saw the three apprintices standing infront of there mother fallingleaf their pelts all groomed. they were all thinking of how much they wouldve wanted thier brother snowpaw join them but he died when a badger attacked the camp many moons ago. i beconed the three apprintices to come foward. all three were bouncing with exciment. " i call upon my warrior ancesters to look down upon these apprintices they have trained hard to learn the ways of you noble code and i commend them to be warriors in their turn" i turned toward the apprintices and asked "do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan at even the cost of your lives." the apprintices all shook there heads and said "i do"all at one time. i could see snowpaws spirit beside them along with there father icelight who died the same day as snowpaw. i looked at the apprintices and said" then by the powers of starclan i give you your warrior name featherpaw from this day forward you will be known as featherheart we welcome you as a full warrior of shadowclan. blackpaw from this day forward you will be known as blackeye we welcome you as a full warrior of shadowclan. and last whitepaw from this day forward you will be know as whitefang we welcome you as a full warrior of shadowclan." the gathered cats below started chanting their names in order. i waved my tail for silince and said"i have one last ceromony to preform. mouseclaw you say that your time has come to join the elders. are you sure this is what you want." "i am" mouseclaw replied. "Then you will rely on apprenitces and younger warriors to bring you fresh-kill, and you are no longer able to go on patrol." the crowd cheered for mouseclaw and as the cats started spliting into groups to eat i made my way to my den i wasnt hungry. i curled up and put my tail over my nose and slid into dreams.

i awoke in my den in a bramble thicket i heard my deputy whiteclaw calling my name. i came out of my den and saw he looked as proud as ever i guess his mate frostpelt had has her kits. i approched the nursery and saw littlepool come out he looked exausted. he gave me a curt nod before stalking off. i came into the nursery and saw tawnyfangs kits all peering axasly over their mothers tail. as i entered i saw 4 tiny bundles of fur suckling. frostpelt raised her head and looked over at me. "greetings moonstar"she mewed. "what are there names" i asked. she pointed to a white tom and said "creamkit" next she pointed to a black she cat and replied "crowkit" then she flicked her tail to the smallest one a black tom with white paws and said " whitekit" and last she pointed to a small gray she-cat and said "cinderkit." i walked back out of the den to see whiteclaw setting up hunting patrols "ill lead one" i said. he nodded his head in aknolodment and said "you can take hawkfrost and nightcloud." i told hawkfrost and as he bounded across to get snowpaw i told nightcloud and waited for her to get webpaw. i waited at the torn entrench while the others came back. i lead the way to the border with duskclan. i had my ears pricked and my mouth open for any scent of prey. i flicked my tail for the others to split up. then i heard a tiny scuffling then i saw a tiny pink noes of a mouse. i dropped into a hunters crouch and then scouted forward a tail length. then i jumped and caught the mouse between my paws then bit down hard on the neck. i buried my prey then went closer to the border. i heard yowls of battling cats. i ran to the border and saw jaywing, breezepaw and stormheart fighting with flamepaw,darkheart and whitetail. me and blackstar got there about the same time. i yowled "stop" the battling cats didnt move then me and blackstar both yowled"stop." the battling cats sprang apart and then i walked up to the border and saw that both clans were still on there side the battle had stayed right on it. before i could speak i heard blackstar say what happened. whitetail said "these cats were getting ready to cross the border chaseing a squirell." "i could say the same about you all." jaywing rretorted. "keep your cats on your side of the border moonstar" blackstar mewed. " i could say the same to you blackstar jaywing get back to camp that scratch on your flank looks nasty. breezepaw and stormheart finish you patrol."
"just as long as you stay on your side of the border" darkheart snarled then stalked off. i returned to camp to see the fresh pile kill stocked up,my patrol dropped off there fresh kill. i picked a plump vole off of the top of the pile and went over to my brother shadepelt below the highledge.
"blackstar blackstar" i jumped and then padded out of my den. i saw my son blackpelt racing toward me his flanks heaving."dogs therer here three of them almost at the camp nightheart, icefang and whitetail are holding them off." "let all cats old enough to catch there own prey join here beneth the highrock for a clan meeting." i repeated the call intell every cat was there." there are dogs coming toward camp" there were yowls of dismay. " blackpelt moonfur foxpaw darkheart and flamepaw stay behind and gaurd camp incase. spottedpelt bloodpaw lionheart cinderfur brambleclaw duskheart tawnypaw come with me." i raced out of camp with my warriors behind me. we soon cought up with my littermates who were bravly fighting the dogs away from camp. i ran up beside nightheart who was fighting the leader a big black dog with razor sharp teeth. i jumped on to his back and dug my claws into his pelt he turned on me. his teeth snapped shut like half of a foxlength in front of my face. i stared around at my warriors. tawnypaw and nightheart were clawing at the dogs muzzle while brambleclaw raked his claws down its flank. icefang was laying montionless beside a bramble thicket while duskheart cinderfur and lionheart were batting at the dog. i looked around despertly to see if i could see whitetail when i spotted him the dog was running at him and he had a gash in his flank the dog had almost caught up with him when spottedpelt and bloodpaw caught up with them. bloodpaw raked his claws dowk his flank while spottedpelt was running in a circle around it . the dog picked up bloodpaw by his scruff and threw him aginst a tree. spottedpelt jumped on its back and would not let go whitetail ran over to bloodpaws side. i bit down on the dogs ear and ran off to help spottedpelt. i ran under the dog and raked my forepaw aginst his stomach. i heard all of my clanmates around me. nightheart tawnypaw and brambleclaw sent the leader running into the bushes with a trail of blood steadly poring down his flank. with the leader gone the dog i was now facing flung spottedpelt off of its back and ran with its tail between its legs. when the last dog saw it was outnumbered it ran into the brambles and off into moonclans terratory. i ran over to whitetail who was beside bloodpaw. bloodpaws flanks were barly moving then i ran over to icefang i yowled to tawnypaw to go get blueheart and mousepaw. i saw my brothers flanks barly rising and falling. i licked his matted fur to find that he had a long gash down his flank and a smaller one at his throat."lionheart find me some cobwebs quick." i knew i had to do whatever i could to save him. when tawnypaw came back bleuheart was not with her. she said another dog was attacking the camp i sent all the warriors who could still fight. lionheart brought my some cobwebs i sat beside my brother pressing them to the cut at his throat while whitetail stayed behind with bloodpaw to help me take care of icefang. i told bloodpaw to get blueheart or mousepaw to help my brother. he returned with mousepaw. mousepaw had a small bundle of herbs with her. she gave him juniper and coltsfoot to help with his breathing. almost all the bleeding had stopped i sent up a silent prayer to starclan help him. i watched as mousepaw gave icefang almost everything she had brought with her. icefangs breathing started to regulate and his eyes opened. "icefang" i pused my nose into my brothers pelt"im so happy your alive,i dont know what i would do without you." we helped icefang sit up and then helped him back to camp after he got strenth herbs. when we got to camp i saw blueheart weaving among my clan. i saw that most of the cats had injuries but none of them were dead mousepaw started helping blueheart as soon as she got there. i sent out a patrol of the fittest cats to make sure the dogs had left and warn moonclan. i looked around at the camp only the entrence had been damanged. i led a hunting patrol and we brought back enough prey to feed the clan today. after i got done sharing toungs with nightcloud, i curled up in my den and dreamt of my mate darkpelt who died in a battle with shadowclan.
