Dylan
"You're a freak, you know that?"
Yes, of course I knew that.
"How does your finger taste? I wonder if it'll taste like spoiled meat or sweet fine tea." I teased, touching her index finger.
"Let go of me you filth!" Alexadria grunted in anger.
I smiled gently, placing pressure on her wrist, and pulling back slightly. I watched her eyes light up with fear as I did so.
Just then, the door bursted open. I let go of her palm out of suprise. Nyxan ran inside, topless. I gaped at him for a moment as he ran to the small flowers beside me. I then grabbed at Alexadria's hand again, continuing as I was earlier.
"Okay! Okay! I'll tell you, just let go!" She pleaded. I nodded and let go of my hold on her.
"What's on your mind?" I questioned, cocking my head to the side.
"I-I... I-... I simplely hate the stain on my dress." I noted the sarcasm in her voice. I sighed mentally.
"That is a silly thing to cry over."
"Well, when you are as good looking as me, you would kno-" She started to reply, but a strong breeze blew past us, making her headdress fly off. Her long hair fell behind her in a french braid. I smiled, but then she screamed. She leaned over the edge of the balcony, revealing her white bloomers. I stared for a moment, checking out her behind. ;]
Then, I noticed that she was about to fall from the balcony. That would be one long fall. I wrapped my arms around her waist, and pulled her back. She struggled for a while, then gave up.
"I'll buy you a new dress and headdress, okay?" I tried to be polite. I cradled her bridal-style in my arms, then sat her back in her chair in a swift movement.
"You have really pretty hair." I complimented, but waited for her smart comeback to that.
Skye
Nyxan seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, but then he suddenly grasped my arms after shaking his head.
“Stay right here!” He exclaimed, more like demanded.
I nodded in confusion. I had no idea what was going on in his mind. He took off dashing out of the room. Is he ditching me? What...?
But I did as I was told, keeping myself seating on the bed.
A terrible thought entered my mind-- What if he wanted to embarass me by telling Dylan? Oh no...
I hid my face in my hands, crying as more horrid, unwanted thoughts flooded my mind. Nyxan could hurt me. Emotionally. Physically..
But then I heard him enter the room again.
“Skye?” He asked softly. I looked up at him. He sat beside me, seeming nervous. I looked at his hand slowly raising. I waited for the impact of a smack. Instead, he wiped away a tear from my cheek and touched my face lovingly.
“I…” He trailed off, looking away for a moment.
“I have something for you.”
He looked down at his other hand. I watched as he opened his palm and a cute little pink flower was in his hand.
Intently, I watched as the flowers unfurled themselves out of the smaller flower. It was absolutely amazing.
By the time Nyxan was finished, I had a bouquet of pretty flowers.
When it was done, I let out a small excited gasp. I heard him let out a chuckle, and I looked at him. He opened his eyes, and spoke softly and sweetly.
“For you... “I… I hope I didn’t hurt your feeling before. I don’t know what I did but… don’t be sad. Please?”
I couldn't help but smile at that. At the fact that someone as amazing as Nyxan cared for me. Someone wanted me happy.
I took the flowers from his hand, and placed them away on the end table beside the bed. I grinned and pulled Nyxan into an embrace.
"Thank you so much." I said, starting to tear up again-- but from happiness. I hugged him tighter.
"N-No one..." I started, "... Has ever made me feel that special... Ever." I finished, closing my eyes and pulling back only slightly so I could meet his gaze.
It was true-- I felt very happy and cared for. It didn't matter, all of the sadness and sorrow. It didn't seem to matter anymore.
I just wanted to stay with Nyxan forever.
