So I decided to go rummage through my closet after I couldn’t sleep. It’s near always an adventure going through my closet. This time, I ended up finding my Inuyasha wallscrolls (both featuring Sessho-maru), Beanie Babies, a Beatrix Potter anthology, two old military rifles, an “I Spy” book, a US of A road atlas, a Molson Ice picture/mirror, a first paperback printing edition of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, my mother’s allergy medicine and my ever-faithful cardboard-tube-and-duct-tape-dagger. Unfortunately, the boots I was looking for weren’t there, so now I need to look elsewhere. Bother.

[CARD-DORK BABBLE]

Went to the card show today with Kaiba-friend and friend-who-lookes-like-Cpt.-Aizen. I bought some Magic cards from Zanbato, because his Shamanism deck needed protection against Flying. Then I bought a whole bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I was able to find a discontinued box and a tin severely discounted. When we were opening up our hauls, I kept on pulling Secret and Ultimate Rares from the packs. Kaiba-friend was jealous. Now I've got Last Turn, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Sky Scourges Norleras and Enrise, Marauding Captain, Asura Priest, Airknight Parshath and Yata-Garasu... all shiny. Over the summer, I'm building more decks than just my Red-Eyes Black Dragon one. *nod*

[/CARD-DORK BABBLE]

It seems as if One Piece does not want to update. Bleach and Naruto were already out last night, which irks me. Meh.

You know, I've been giving a lot of thought to the rant I made last post about my name. I'm not going to freakin' fight it anymore. I can be both nez-REE-ah and nez-uh-RYE-uh. It all depends on the personal preference of the speaker. It's kind of my fault for using a name I made up in the eighth grade while trying to write a Yugioh fanfiction. (One verbal run-through of the first few pages and I canned everything to do with it, but the name. Took me almost an hour to come up with it.) Bad enough it's impossible to spell; I'm no long going to be picky about pronunciation. If you're trying, that's good enough.

Oh, I'm thinking about teaching the following song to small children on Saturday's hoe-down my dad drafted me into:

What do you think? Should I?

Well, I've got to go and prowl the internets. Maybe I should get some more Oreos and milk. They were good last night. I'm like Grif from Red vs. Blue when it somes to Oreos. I'll eat a whole box if I need to. *nod* Later.

Quarter to two and I can't sleep...

Seriously, I'm going to a card show tomorrow at Gibralter Trade Center with my buddies and I'm gonna be totally zonked out. Bugger.

If you haven't gone and listened to the newest podcast, do it now, please. This one goes on the computer archive list of favorite episodes ever. It's a shame they can't figure out my name. (nez-uh-RYE-uh) I mean, does it seriously not look like that? Pfft. The guys get major points though for talking about my Densha Otoko essay. Calling me an "it" makes them silly for life.

The whole cupcake thing is pissing me off something fierce. Hmm... I've got a thought. :cupcake: Maybe? Hmm.

Oh, Grandma's been transferred to a different hospital and seems to be doing better. I wonder if this is going to be a short-term thing. Oh well. What happens, happens.

One Piece 499 better come out soon. Naruto's out. Bleach's out. I am being pirate-deprived. Murh.

I went to the Youmacon official web site earlier and am now stoked. I need to talk to Kaiba-friend tomorrow during the card show about pre-registration and whatnot. This is going to be a blast. ^_~v

Yeah, I need some milk and Oreos now. Maybe, after a while of more surfing, I should write more of that Naruto fanfiction. It might put me to sleep. Later.

Raar!

I've been posting a ton on other people's worlds, so I thought I'd come here for a quick second.

*waves happily*

So the Red Cross sent over my foster uncle from Korea on Emergency Leave so he can go see Grandma in the U.P.. Of course, he doesn't get paid until tomorrow, so we get stuck with his creepy demeanor for two days. I swear, as far as creepiness and douchebag-ery goes, my family has too much of it. -.-'

Reading the newest Fullmetal Alchemist chapter as I'm typing here. Jeezum crowe. Seven pages in and it's already intense.

I'm working on a fanfiction right now for one of my friends so I can give at least some of it to him on Saturday. When we were still in high school he had come out with this Naruto next-generation fiction starring him, his girlfriend at the time and me... or at least avatars of us. He wanted me to help, but the project tanked before much could be done plot-wise. A few months ago, just to feel better about myself when I was feeling really down, I took what little we had and developed it into something not about the three of us and more along the lines of an alternate-future-super-next-generation story. It's still going to have some of the basic elements, but I told him what I had fleshed out a while ago and he really liked it. His college graduation party is on Saturday and I want to at least try to get to the first mission before then. It may be Naruto, but it was important at one time.

I remember wanting to say something else, but I got distracted by JapanProbe and now need to go post on the Bootleg News Reporter. Later.

Okay, I've calmed down a little...

I was having the most splendid day today until I had to go to work. My department mangager yelled at me through the deli night manager. I apparently cannot close properly. Whatever.

Anyways, today (it's still Friday) is an important day. Today I had my first piece of writing published by an actual organization instead of on a self-publishing website! I edited down my article about the Lions and anime and sent it into the Macomb Daily. This is what they printed:

Forty-two years without a whiff of a Super Bowl would deter most fans from supporting the Detroit Lions. Years of mismanagement, weak play and disappointing drafts has led to the Lions being the NFC pushover. Other teams appreciate us for that easy win, but are puzzled when they realize this team should be long gone. Detroit Lions fans know attachment only hurts more as our passing game fails and our defense quavers.

Get over the draft. Put the coach roulette behind you. Cast aside the fact we are in desperate need of a total franchise overhaul. Buck up and don your Lions regalia proudly. To the rest of the country, we may not know what good football is; do we care? No, for we are true Lions fans driving the bandwagon in hopes more will hop on.

It was great to be able to open the newspaper and see my name right there under what I wrote. Then I went and did the whole Iron Man/Thai food thing with the guys I mentioned in the previous, geeked-out post.

Last night, I was wandering 'round the internet when I came to my favorite manga site and found a scanlation of the series Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, which about a deliquent and the class representative who won't stop bothering him or dragging him into different adventures. It's pretty funny, in my opinion. I read the first chapter and was amused from the get-go. Speaking of manga, I'm super-anxious for new Vinland Saga. I'm thinking it might come out sometime in June, if I'm lucky, since it seems like it's being released one volume at a time. New Blazer Drive arrived and is looking like it's coming along fairly. This month's Embalming made me laugh for some odd reason. I also think I should use my free time this summer that is not taken up with friends and writing to read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Bleach, D. Gray Man, Japan Tengu Party Illustrated, Genshiken, Katekyo Hitman Reborn and 666 Satan/O-Parts Hunter at the least. Maybe I'll suck up my pride and tackle the whole Naruto/Death Note thing so that I can properly argue why I don't enjoy the over-hype, but that's still yet to be seen.

Oh, and some Eurotech for you all.

Later.

I. Am. IRON MAN!!!!!

Holy shit, that was effing sweet! The explosions and the action and the... argh! *^_^* The only thing was I thought the Obie/Stark death-match could have been extended about two or three minutes, but that's just what Kaiba-friend and I think. Best part was at the end, which I made my friends stay for. Mr. Mace Windu, bitches. Oh yeah, and Stark so blowing his cover to the press-whores. That was nice.

Then we went for Thai food. That was funny, because I was the only one eating something other than fried rice. Why? 'Cause curry is addicting.

Oh, and for "Count the Females - Iron Man Edition": four, not including myself. Out of about twenty people showing in the matinee, there were a few older women with husbands, one alone and a little girl (no more than five) with her grandpa. I guess they thought a matinee was safer.

So my basic anyalsis: take all the good things you've heard, times two.
