CDs... are they leaving this generation like the music tapes? Or is time just repeating itself?

Everyone knows that when you buy an album, you have a favorite song, then a bunch of others that you might like, or hate all in the same CD. When the iPod came out, that wasn't a hassle anymore. All you have to do is buy the single track off iTunes and there you have it, no needless songs that you never need again. But, that means more people will stop with the CDs and start using MP3 files. Remember the tapes? They disappeared slowly at first when the CD first came out. After a few years, people wanted the better quality of sound and the tapes disappeared. Since the MP3s are great nowadays, people stop buying CDs and just get an iPod. How easy it is to buy music and carry it around? An ipod is only one small thing, even smaller than a phone, while a CD player is huge and you have to carry the CDs around. Everything is becoming based on the ipod now. While I was getting a new backpack, the MP3 slot was so small, that my CD player won't even fit!(It's not that I'm old fashioned or anything, it's just that I don't want one, even if everyone I know has at least one. Tough luck for me, since in school, everyone expects me to have one... Besides, I listen to music with my computer so a CD will be much more comfortable than an iPod...) If you look at it this way, time is repeating itself. The tapes disappeared, so the CDs will. Maybe someday in the future, the iPod will too. Cell phones carry music, so why need one? But right now, everything is based on the iPod, just like how everything was based on the CD player a while back. No one knows the future, and no one knows what's going to happen. But, the most important thing is right now is that we know that things have to change in the course of time, so all we can do is just watch as techonlogy changes and just let time drag us along, for those of us who just don't want to.

It's just another Snowy Day...
