You seem to have stumbled across my Tales Updates, whether you meant to or not. Here, I give info on Namco-Bandai's Tales of RPG series, known for its real time battle system (the LMBS) and its animated cut scenes made by Production I.G. It all started on December 15, 1995 when Wolf Team's Tales of Phantasia was released for the Super Famicom in Japan. (Members of Wolf Team later broke off and made Star Ocean, but that's another story for another time.) With the development of the series' fifth game, Tales of Symphonia, Tales gained its own studio dedicated solely to making new games in the series.

Currently covering: Tales of Graces, Tales of Symphonia Tethe'alla Hen

Euro ToV Site Update

Tales of Vesperia's European site updated. It basically has the same info as its Japanese site (right along with Japanese screens and such). There are wallpapers on the site, though you need to make an account to get them.

Apparently, according to sources, the preorder bonus is a DVD with Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Eternia PSP, and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World's localized openings.

More To-VS Scans, ToV Scans, First Strike Site Update

Yes, after yesterday we have a few more Tales of VS scans from another magazine that show off some more characters (that were actually sorta revealed last scan).

You'll notice Philia and Mao have been officially introduced as characters instead of being speculation in a small screen like last post. Also, alternate colors for multiplayer confirmed. And...Lloyd and Collet are no longer Wineers, it would seem. Darn them correcting it.

In ToVPS3, we seem to have a few new bonus bosses, such as the Sword Dancer and what's called the "Wandering Evil Skeleton Soldier" (彷徨う骸の凶戦士).

And...some new artes, plus showing a bit of Flynn and Patty skit stuff (just a bit).

The Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ site got a slight update. There's now a list of theaters and a new picture of Yuri and Flynn.

SE ToV Bonus Confirmed

Yeah, all you who bought the Special Edition of Tales of Vesperia and got that code that you thought you'd never get to use thanks to the site never updating...
Drop by there again and you'll see that it's volume 2 of the 10th Anniversary Soundtrack. (Same one you'll get if you ordered it from Tales Brigade...I'm guessing they'll be shipping those soon since they hadn't done it yet...)
Too bad for those who wanted exclusive DLC.

Some European Tales Stuffs

Okay, I'm getting this info from people who got this from this person who got it from this person who heard it from here, if you know what I mean. So I just took it from Abyssal Chronicles.

In other words, you'll see the word "apparently" a lot in this post.

Apparently, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (I still don't like that name...it really has nothing to do with the game itself. The original name at least had something to do with the plot) will be getting a European release with added features according to someone who said that a press event in France confirmed this (I don't know French. I don't know where to check this and if I did I wouldn't be able to read it...)

~ Gallery Mode - includes a Skit Library for viewing the skits in the game and an Image Gallery, for images such as art of the packaging, sketches, etc. Said mode can be unlocked once the game is completed.

~ Head gear and accessories for Emil and Marta, including themed masks.

~ New special effects in battles.

~ Players can customize characters in battle.

You lucky people apparently get a skit library that Americans and Japanese didn't get (though you had to wait a while). Hopefully they'll fix those terrible grammatical issues in the text for you. *shudders*

Also, Tales of Vesperia will apparently be released on the 26th of June in Europe (25th in Germany, apparently). Here's the (apparent) boxart.

with a background added. Man, we got Yuri and Flynn with cheesy flames.

ToG, ToVPS3, To-VS PVs

Yay, finally! The Tales of Graces, Tales of Vesperia PS3, and Tales of VS sites all have a PV up to watch.

We get to hear two of the Graces characters' voices (Asbel--younger and older--and the little purple haired girl). The Tales of VS PV is trying too hard with its music (haha), and the Tales of Vesperia PS3 PV shows Flynn and Yuri's dual hi-ougi (and some more extra stuff). You know what, I'll just put them here. *cough*
