You seem to have stumbled across my Tales Updates, whether you meant to or not. Here, I give info on Namco-Bandai's Tales of RPG series, known for its real time battle system (the LMBS) and its animated cut scenes made by Production I.G. It all started on December 15, 1995 when Wolf Team's Tales of Phantasia was released for the Super Famicom in Japan. (Members of Wolf Team later broke off and made Star Ocean, but that's another story for another time.) With the development of the series' fifth game, Tales of Symphonia, Tales gained its own studio dedicated solely to making new games in the series.

ToV Movie Site Update-Characters

The Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ site added its character page. The page is basically a relationship chart with the different characters of the movie (including Repede's father). Clicking each character will bring up a mini bio.

I have not played the game yet, so I'm not really going to guess names I don't know, plus there are several characters new to the movie. In both cases, I will just show the katakana they're written in and romanize them.

This is actually the first we've seen of the HP gauge in battles and what's that? Oh yeeeessss, CC is back, which means no TP and you attack until it runs out. (For reference, CC is from the PS2 remake of Tales of Destiny. Greatest. Thing. In Tales. Ever.)

EDIT: This was up yesterday, but since I didn't check it I didn't notice. PV2 for Tales of Vesperia PS3 was put up on the official site. (This same trailer was up on the PlayStation Store and is YouTubed in a previous post.)

EDIT 2: Tales of VS. Hamidashi Corner has a Colette/Lloyd combo video up now.

Tales of Vesperia Demo

The demo for the PS3 version of Tales of Vesperia is up on the Japanese PlayStation Store. If you make a Japanese account, you can play it. I'll put up videos as soon as someone on YouTube uploads some (I'd do it, but I don't have a PS3).

Also, a scan (that was up the same day I put the others up) shows Karol in a Lloyd Irving (Tales of Symphonia) costume and Judith in a Rutee Katret (Tales of Destiny) costume.

Graces--Two New Characters, some ToV Costumes, VS Charas

The two new characters for Graces are Hubert Ozwell (voiced by Takahiro Mizushima) and Shelia Barnes (voiced by Shiho Kawaragi). Hubert is a magic swordsman, it would seem. Also, it looks like Hubert is Asbel's younger brother with an age difference of one year. And...I'm not sure if I'm reading this right but Shelia is the granddaughter of Asbel's butler? I think. She seems to be a healer (they call her a chiryoushi and she's using Nurse in that shot so...).

As for Vesperia PS3, Flynn's new costume is called Hansode Ouji (Short Sleeved Prince). And for some other characters:

Yuri's is Aloha-na Aniki (Aloha Brother), Rita's is Sarigena Mizugiwa Girl (Casual Beach Girl), and Judith's is GiriGiri Kuro Bikini (*snickers*).

VS Characters confirmed are Caius Qualls (Tales of the Tempest), Farah Oersted (Tales of Eternia), and Kohak Hearts (Tales of Hearts), which only one of those was previously unknown. Only three left! HAHA, KOHAK FANSERVICE! That's almost as bad as the Rita fanservice. (As you may have noticed, Mary is in Tales of Wallbreaker. It turns out that characters not in VS will be included in it.)
