You seem to have stumbled across my Tales Updates, whether you meant to or not. Here, I give info on Namco-Bandai's Tales of RPG series, known for its real time battle system (the LMBS) and its animated cut scenes made by Production I.G. It all started on December 15, 1995 when Wolf Team's Tales of Phantasia was released for the Super Famicom in Japan. (Members of Wolf Team later broke off and made Star Ocean, but that's another story for another time.) With the development of the series' fifth game, Tales of Symphonia, Tales gained its own studio dedicated solely to making new games in the series.

ToG Chara Vids 6+Spec, Special, Movie & ToS News Update

Guess Friday will be the normal day for major updates to the Tales of Graces site, like it was for most of their other sites. (The Special page update was actually done yesterday, but ignore that fact for a moment.)
The Character page has two new character videos for Asbel and Sophie. For Asbel's new video, click the second thumbnail in his section, and for Sophie it's her first thumbnail. (Can they at least order them in the order they upload them so it's not so confusing to explain?)
Spec section just updated with what's on the preorder DVD. I've already covered that before in a previous post. It also has a sneak peek of the Yappari Tales of at Tokyo Game Show digest and the skit drama.
The Movie section reposted PVs 1 and 2, and also put up the third one. If you remember, 1 and 2 were up before the site officially opened but weren't put back up afterward. The third PV is the one that was put up on the JP Nintendo Channel a while back. Also here is an interview with Asbel's voice actor, Takahiro Sakurai, which is actually what you'll be taken to as soon as you go to the Movie section.
The Special section put up a link where starting yesterday until December 4, you can send Mutsumi Inomata a question (Japanese of course) or a piece of fanart. Both the answers and the art may possibly be put in the Complete Guide. Sending either gives you a wallpaper. I didn't bother doing it nor am I going to, but a745 over at AC sent a question, so she has the wallpapers up there in 1600x1200 and 1280x1024.

The Tales of Symphonia OVA site updated it's News page. It has a bit of info on the advanced showing in Ikebukuro Theater Dia in Tokyo and Umeda Theater in Osaka. As we already know, the advanced screening will be from December 12 until December 18. The showing in Tokyo will be 1,800 yen and the one in Osaka will be 1,200 yen and during those days, Tokyo will also have a late show at 21:00. The packaging for Refill-sensei's Cream Stew was put up. *chuckles weakly* Again, I think I'll pass on that one.
Also up is a tiny bit of information on the Tales of Symphonia Comic Market 77 Limited CD (aw, heck no! I don't approve of these things that end up being sold on sites that don't ship to America. I ended up having to listen to the last one on Nico Nico Douga before it got taken down. Funny stuff, but it's really not fair). It'll be 2,500 yen and will have a radio part with Katsuyuki Konishi (Lloyd) and Masaya Onosaka (Zelos) and a drama part, like last time. The drama part will feature the full main cast, just like the last one. General sales will start on January 27.

ToG New Scans-Costumes and Kamenin Merchant DSiWare

Not really anything great for now, but there are a few new costumes for Tales of Graces revealed (personally I just hope they don't reveal all of them before the game is released).

Also, the DS minigame Kamenin Merchant will not only be released with ToG, but also as DSiWare. It's for Japanese DSi only (thanks to region locking being stupid) and will be available for 200 points starting December 2.

ToG Site Update-Swimsuit Edition

The Tales of Graces official site updated. Head over to the System page to see a rather small update on the swimsuit titles. There's a very short video (about 5 seconds or so) and a few screenshots. The costumes will be obtainable from an event scene in the game at some point. So yeah, short update.

ToG Chara Vids 5+System Update, ToS News Update

The Tales of Graces site put up more videos on the character page. So drop by the character page and watch videos for Hubert (click his second thumbnail), Cheria (click her first), and Richard (click his third). The System page also has an update, but it's on titles and synthesizing and we pretty much covered that about two or three times already in magazines, so...

Also, I forgot to cover this, but the Tales of Symphonia OVA has an official blog now (is that the new thing to do with these things?). There really isn't anything there now...in fact, these things rarely get interesting...the Tales of Hearts one was a fun read, though.

Tethe'allans are huge compared to Sylvaranti, apparently. Nah, just kidding.
The News Page of the ToS OVA site also updated with a bit more info on the advanced screening in December. Not really much, just that there will be special guests from the cast and staff at the showing, though it doesn't reveal who yet, and er...does that say people who show up will get "Refill-sensei's cream stew" as a gift? In that case...count me out. Hahaha. Not like I can just go to Japan for the showing, anyway.

New Graces Scan-A Cameo and Some Costumes

Okay, Japanese Nintendo Channel has a new PV up. I don't know how long it'll be up here, but you can see it here on Dailymotion (Avex is getting YouTube to cut the audio on all of them so I can't use a YouTube link. Sorry).
External Image
Okay, first off to the right the preorder DVD's contents are revealed to be voice actor interview(s), the usual skit drama, illustration gallery, promotional video(s) for Graces, and something on the Tokyo Game Show stage event.
So moving on to the main article, there will be a survival type of thing where you fight through different floors. Veigue Lungberg from Tales of Rebirth is confirmed to be a cameo on one of the floors (KUREAAAAA!!!).

There will be cards featuring Tales series characters you can collect throughout the game. You'll use these to play a card minigame. Also here is a bit on the vehicles you can use to travel the map more quickly. Lastly, there are pictures of the swimsuit costumes you can unlock for the characters.
