You seem to have stumbled across my Tales Updates, whether you meant to or not. Here, I give info on Namco-Bandai's Tales of RPG series, known for its real time battle system (the LMBS) and its animated cut scenes made by Production I.G. It all started on December 15, 1995 when Wolf Team's Tales of Phantasia was released for the Super Famicom in Japan. (Members of Wolf Team later broke off and made Star Ocean, but that's another story for another time.) With the development of the series' fifth game, Tales of Symphonia, Tales gained its own studio dedicated solely to making new games in the series.

ToV Movie Site Update-Characters

The Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ site added its character page. The page is basically a relationship chart with the different characters of the movie (including Repede's father). Clicking each character will bring up a mini bio.

I have not played the game yet, so I'm not really going to guess names I don't know, plus there are several characters new to the movie. In both cases, I will just show the katakana they're written in and romanize them.

ToV Movie Site-Menu Added

Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ site has updated finally giving a navigation menu (which, luckily for you, is in English).

  • Introduction
    Gives a bit of background info on Tales and Production I.G. States the theme song for the movie will be BONNIE PINK's Kane wo Narashite (Japanese version of Ring a Bell), same as the game.

  • Story
    Tells the basic story of the movie. Out of fear of misspelling terms that were in the game (and not wanting to spoil myself by looking it up), I'm steering clear of translating. I guess by now it's obvious I haven't so much as even been in the same room as a copy of Tales of Vesperia.

  • Character
    Not open yet, but this is where character bios will go.

  • Staff/Cast
    Lists staff and voice talent.

    Gives download of any promotional footage
