so I think I had a mind baby last night.i had this crazy, yet amazing dream. So it was about a mage girl (lately thats all I dream about) she looked to be in her 20's but from the way she spoke she sunded centuries old. Her talent was nothing to be sneezed at. She had full control over the elements, the ability to summon creatures to do her bidding, telekinesis, this girl could do it all.
Apparently, in this world a mage wasnt a full flegded mage unless he or she had a familiar. Which isnt the strangest thing I've ever heard. The familiar picks you. In this case, Yoru the purple haired neko boy picked her. He looked to be around the same age as the mage (no idea what her name is....he only called her master)
It was strange though...not only was I watching everything that was happening but I was seeing it from the mages perspective. It was really weird. Not only that but the dream even explained how magic in that world worked. At one point she was hired to help a family clean out their basement after a great flood. The daughter asked her how magic worked and she showed her. She explained in some people there was a connection to an unseen energy that links all living things. This connection was in the soul of every mage.they could then use this connection to move the energy through their bodies and manifest different types of magic. She used the example of water magic and pushed the energy into her arms and made almost like a water gun effect shooting water from what looked like no where at all. She then explained that a mages magic would fet weaker if her familiar was far away.
A bunch of stuff happened and they even summoned a doorway into the land of the dead to speak with her departed teacher for guidence, there was kinda a love story too and the fights were pretty amazing I gotta say. Sometimes I hate my mind when Im sleeping and other times I love it ^^
