I'm kind of stupid excited there might be a meet at a con I actually attend XP I really am that lame. Even though I've been away from TheO so long that I don't know anyone anymore
A note for folks who aren't staying at nearby hotels...
The Rosemont stop for the Blue Line is only a few blocks north of the convention center, so if you want you can just ride the El there. There's also a (cheap!) parking lot nearby, as I recall, although it'll likely be swamped by our compatriots. Either way, if you don't mind a five minute walk around the streets of Chicago (possibly in full cosplay attire) then you could save yourself a couple of bucks.
Having even one VA at the meetup would be fan-friggin-tastic. I better get a new camera, or borrow one. *knock on wood* I hope this little deal doesnt fall through.
Yeah, that blew. I don't know how they did it, but we got that extra hour this year. =D
Oh, no offense taken at all, I completely understand. It seems that medium is easier to find and in larger doses at the smaller cons compared to the large ones like ACen and Otakon.
Oh sweet. I remember last year, it sucked that we couldn't go to the con center after six. Maybe I'll take a greater interest in the artist's alley this year. (No offense to you, but it seemed difficult to find that nice medium of 'friendly people' and 'good prices'. >>;)
