Welcome to the Anime/Manga Discussion Page!!

It's recently come to my attention that, well...it would seem I'm viewed as someone with knowledge on many different shows. And so, though I feel I am somewhat limited, thought..."Hey...why not gather together people and have them share their ideas...so that we can help others!" >X3 I love suggesting shows to people, and having them tell me that they loved them as well! It makes me really happy to have perhaps suggested something that brought them joy!

So, I created this world in hopes that the suggestions and brief reviews here will help others find hidden treasures!!! X3 Also because I love Discussing my passions. :3

Now, I can't do this alone! I will need lots of help, so please join and help me make this endeavor a success!!! You don't have to do too much, just post up something you loved and think others will like as well! I will show an example with my first post!

Procedures:

--BASIC REVIEW:
When posting a review, please title this way:
"Name of Title--Your Username"
EXAMPLE

--A Response or Addition Post:
Now, say someone has posted an anime/manga that you wanted to do, or perhaps that you feel they left something out, or spoke too biased. ((Please try to be objective, like don't focus on a single characters...because with all characters there will be lovers/haters, that would be under "discussion")) Then, you may create a RESPONSE POST! This is simple...just title it ""ADDITION TO Title--Your Username"" Or "In response to Title"--Your Username"

--DISCUSSION:
This is a Discussion group as well, not merely for suggesting things. Therefore, you are free to Discuss anything you like about any Anime/Manga. Title These posts "Discussion of Title--Username" Then, if you wish to respond to a certain Discussion, just title with "Response to Username's Discussion"
EXPLANATION

Not too confusing, right?? Now for the rules...yeah Hate them but they're necessary.

RULES:
1. You may post whatever you like, but reviews should be objective.

2. Debating is great fun, I love it...but please...keep it reasonable. I don't want fighting or hating understand? Try to take other opinions into consideration, and just have fun. This also means no name-calling or thrashing...kay? Don't make me play the ref...I hate that.

3. Remember, I started this to help people broaden their horizons! So if you can, help out by commenting on reviews towards possible additions or improvements. Unless you want to post an addition for yourself. :)

4. I don't think I need to mention this...but keep it clean alright? There could be children in here...don't make them cry. XD

5. This really isn't a RULE...but try to find a nice image to include with your reviews. Or, if the title has more than one title which makes it difficult to find, then mention it too plz. :)

Thank you all, I hope you'll join and enjoy your time here...and I DOUBLY hope you'll find something to your liking! Who knows, you might stumble upon your new favorite!!

PM or Comment if you would like to become a Guest Poster and help me out!

Millenium Snow -- howayoru

Alternative Name :[B/] Sennen no Yuki; 一瞬間のロマンス; 千年の雪; Millenium Snow
Status : Ongoing
Author : Hatori Bisco

Summary : Seventeen-year-old Chiyuki Matsuoka has breathed hospital air for as long as she can remamber. Having been born with a serious heart problem, doctors have more or less given up on her condition and told her that she might not be able to make it on the next winter. Knowing this, Chiyuki strive to live her life to the fullest but as she is confined to the hospital, her efforts were pretty useless.

One night, Chiyuki encounters a handsome man named Touya Kanou who is later revealed to be a vampire. As Touya is at the right age now, he is sent to the human world to look for his partner who will live with him for eternity. In order to seal their partnership, Touya must drink the blood of his partner and in return give him his own blood which has the power to make them both live for a thousands of years.

Knowing that there is a chance of living for a long time, Chiyuki insisted on being Touya's partner. However, for Touya, living a long life is horrific and he knows that sooner or later, his partner will get desperate over her infinite life. To watch numerous people die before you, it is enough to torture the soft-hearted vampire. It's up to Chiyuki to teach Touya the pleasure of life, even if her own soon wither away.

Opinion : The plot is really nice and the combination of the characters too!! its really sweet~! ^.^ but its a little sad that it is still ongoing (despite the beautiful artwork) and hatori-san might not have the chance to finish it anymore since he's busy with he's "Ouran High school host club" but I'm hoping that after Ouran High, he'll finish it too!! Its really interesting especially when it comes to Touya's decision about letting Chiyuki live a painful thousands of years or to let her die too early with her disease.

Recommendation : I recommend this to everyone!! most especially to those who enjoys reading a light-hearted-comedy with a-slice-of-drama-kind of romance!!

K-ON! ~ RedStars

K-ON!

Title(s): K-ON! (けいおん!)

Genre(s): music, life, comedy

Number of episodes: 13 episodes

External Image

Plot: Yui Hirasawa is a lazy, clumsy and daydreaming girl who wants to join a club, since this is her first year of high school. After thinking about what club she should join, she decides trying the K-ON club (pop music club), even though she has no musical experience. But hey, playing castanets is easy, right? That's what she thinks. On the other side of the club door, Ritsu (drummer) and Mio (bassist) are trying to save the k-on club from being disbanded. The high school rules say that a club can only exist if there are at least four members in the club, so Ritsu and Mio are looking for two more members. After Mugi, who plays the keyboard, joins the club there is still something the club needs: a guitar player. When they receive Yui's application they get the wrong idea that Yui is a pro guitarist. Will the band be ok when the guitarist joined the club to play castanets?

What I think about it: K-ON is a must-see, I totally recommend it for a dose of cuteness! The characters are cute and funny and the songs are sweet and "fluffy". The graphics are pretty good, especially in what concerns the instruments. I am addicted to their songs, they always put me in a great mood.

Opening: (if you haven't decided yet if you should watch it or not give the opening a listen =^..^=)

Captive Hearts--Support KIRA

Captive Hearts

Alternate Name: Toraware no Minoue

Length: 5 Volumes((Completed))

Author: Matsuri Hino

Categories: Comedy, Drama, Mystery, Romance

Summary: Megumi Kuroishi is living the life of an ordinary college student. Well...not exactly. His family has served the Kogami family for generations, he himself no exception. He'd been trained to become a butler since he was just a little boy. That was, until the Kogami family went missing on a trip to China. They were after presumed dead, all of their fortune going to Megumi's father. And so, his life went on, basically normal. Until one day his father returns from China with a teenage girl who he claims to be the Kogami's surviving daughter Suzuka. Upon seeing her, something inside Megumi awakens, and he goes into a 'manservant fit'. Tending to her every need, and even calling her a "princess". And thus he discovers his clan hadn't just served the Kogami because of loyalty...but because they were cursed to do so for 100 generations. Because Megumi himself hadn't been exposed to the Kogami's, all of his instincts had been suppressed. And now, his need to serve comes out in highly comedic ways. Suzuka doesn't want anyone to be forced to serve her, thus she starts down the path of attempting to break their age-old curse.

Opinion: It's a very very cute romance story. There were many heartfelt moments, as well as highly funny moments as well. And since it was written by Matsuri Hino...naturally I loved the character designs. :3 It's not incredibly long, but it was completely worth the read. :) Megumi's "manfits" were too funny, and Suzuka's pure innocence was truly touching. That combined with Rui's Raging Jealousy, and a transvestite best friend...I'll tell you...it was quite a journey.

((I'm sure you can find this title at OneManga or Mangafox. >:3 I just don't know if it's all been uploaded or not...))

Death Note--Support KIRA

DEATH NOTE

Episodes: 37

Genre: Action, Drama, Mystery

Summary: The World in which Light Yagami in is rotting. At least, that's what he thinks. There is nothing but criminal reports on news broadcasts, criminal activity on the streets...and even in the classrooms. It's pathetic...and someone needs to fix it. And that's just what he aims to do, when he happens upon a strange notebook labeled "Death Note". The front page almost scares him away "The person who's name is written in this note shall die". Almost. He refuses to cast the book away without testing it for himself. Randomly watching a broadcast, he witnesses a hostage situation. As the name and face of the man is posted on TV, Light writes it down...then waits. When the notebook proves to be real, Light's mind starts turning. What if....what if he could eliminate ALL Crime from the world?! What if he could start a NEW WORLD? Would that make him...the GOD of that world?

You follow Light during his transformation, as he meets the Shinigami Ryuk, and proceeds to follow the path which he believes is right. Using the notebook to his full advantage. Things heat up when Detective L is brought in to oppose him, with his quick wit and daring intellect, he is truly the only one to offer Light a challenge. Just who will win...and will Light TRULY create a world only he could dream of? Or will L crush that goal and save the world's criminals from Light's judgment?

Opinion: This is a must see for anyone who's into hard core MIND GAMES. The entire show is like a huge game of chess. One wrong move and it's Checkmate....or more specifically, Death. It has you wondering just who is truly right...and makes you think about everything you've come to believe. I'm sure you form sides...but I stayed pretty objective for the most part. ((Yes yes, even though my name IS Support KIRA. I really DO connect with Light's Beliefs and Goals...but to a certain point. I can't go into it unless you see it! LOL)) The animation is ASTOUNDING...and the music really fits well with the situations. I must say...the openings/endings are dynamite! XD I highly recommend it as it is truly becoming one of the 'must-see' staples.

Here's the Opening Sequence, Enjoy!
