I'm so sad. I tried to style my wig last night and I ruined it. I don't know if it's because it's a wig and regular hair gel doesn't work or it's me not knowing what I was doing. It just wasn't styling at all the way I wanted it. It's a shame cause now I have to go to Otakon with an incomplete cosplay. I was really looking forward to going as Toushi T___T After all that trouble I went through trying to get that robe...*sigh*

My friend told me to just go as another character, but I don't know. I'm thinking about the money I just lost trying to complete this thing. I still want to wear all his stuff, I just won't have the proper hair ='(

Well I guess I should get started on my second cosplay to make up for the loss in this one. I'm going as Ritsuka Aoyagi from Loveless =D This one should be easy as all hell. It's not costing me a penny considering I already had black ears and a tail ^_^ I have to look at my mangas for some outfit ideas...

So yeah, that's what happened to me last night: Severe disappointment. I guess it could be worse though...

Oh well. Gotta look on the bright side of things I suppose.

What else can I say? Hmm...oh yeah, this weekend it's going to be like flea market frenzy XD On Saturday we're having this huge yard sale with my whole family and a couple of neighbors and their neighbors. It's going to be intense lol Hopefully I can get some money in for the stuff I have lying around. I'd really hate to throw it straight out because they're like old toys and stuffed animals from when I was little...

Then Sunday, we're going back to that flea market that we went to a couple weeks ago because my dad saw something there he wanted, but didn't have enough on him at the time so we're going back to see if it's still there. This time, my mom told me I could get the swords I saw last time ^__^ So yeah, I'll have three actual blades (its a set) here in a couple days. I'd love to start collecting that stuff, especially anime swords. I'll be looking at Otakon for them as well =3

Well, guess I covered everything now. I probably won't update until after Otakon. Instead, I'll have this one massive update all ready for ya xD

Hello all...hope everything is going well ^.^

Today I had to get up early because my brother had to take a college placement test downtown and I wanted to tag along. I'm glad I did because while I was waiting for him to get done, I was looking through the course listing book and somewhat picked out my classes for the fall. I didn't want to go at first, but I need to be a full-time student to stay on my parents' insurance and I want to get braces ( NOT looking forward to that >.< ) My life is going to become very hectic now because I also need to find a job. Doing that and school is going to wear me out. I won't feel like doing anything when I have off *_* Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Last night I finished up my sword that I'm going to be carrying around at Otakon. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it satisfies. It's really hard to find swords that are "con safe" and not metal *sigh* So yeah, here it is...

I'm still impressed though at how well it came out. It went from a piece of crap to a fancy piece of crap XDD Nah, I'm kidding I love it. The wig styling is next X.X I'm dreading on doing that because I have absolutely no experience with wig styling (or hair styling for that matter) I have to wing that too just like I did with the sword. Well, wish me luck on that. I'm going to need as much as I can get lol

I AM NOW A SENIOR OTAKU!! YAY!!

Looking at those requirements, I now see what it takes to move up in status. Wow, I feel so proud lol...Being on theO for 4 years seems like a long time. Back when I first joined it was very different; I never could submit fanart like everyone else and my wallpaper skills sucked horribly, but now that I have a scanner and obtained fairly good Photoshop skills I can make up for all that lost time xD I'm even learning a new thing: making animated gifs. They're not that great (not to mention I haven't even saved a completed one yet), but I'm just getting a hang of the process. It's fun though *nodnod*

In other news, yesterday I went to a 4th of July barbeque. It was fun for the most part. All I did was sit around, talk, and eat. I was going to go swimming, but there were too many little kids there and I didn't want to be in with them...they're insane. God forbid if I splashed water in their face accidentally, I'd get the blame for it so I stayed safe and stayed out of their way >.< I still had a good time though...

Not much else going on today except the street behind me is having a block party and the music just went on *sigh* I can't afford to close my window. It's way too hot -.-;
I miss my old street. We used to have block parties there too. I lived in a cul-de-sac type street and two different streets met in the middle so we basically had our own block and we had to get special permission to block off two streets (fire hazard), but it was awesome we had LOTS of room to ride our bikes and stuff. I miss those days :'(

Well now that we can put up 5 images in a post I thought it would be nice if I introduced you all to my babies. I love them all so much I wish I had more! lol

Ok, first off is Bonzai, my parakeet. I adopted him from someone who could no longer take care of him. Even though I didn't have any experience prior with birds, I didn't let that stop me =D He is such a sweetheart. He also loves to break the silence with loud chirping. He especially starts this the minute you turn on the TV xD He can be such a brat sometimes, but I love him. ♥

This is Scooby, my guinea pig. I don't remember when I got him exactly so I don't really know how old he is. I got him when my other guinea pig, Twinkie, died unexpectedly. I didn't really want another one after Twink, but since he died so suddenly I just had to get another one. I thought I would have him longer than that. Anyway, he can be a brat sometimes too. His favorite treats are carrots and lettuce and he loves to run around in my living room. ♥

Here is my oldest pet (that I owned myself). His name is Kosmo. He is turning 8 years old this summer. I still remember the day I brought him home. He was such a tiny little thing now he is almost 3 feet long. He would be bigger, but he needs a much larger cage and I don't really have the room for one that size ^.^; He's happy though. Just recently I got him trained on how to answer questions. The only ones he knows so far are "Are you hungry?" and "Are you bad?" lol Whenever I ask him these his head starts nodding. It's so cute. ♥

This is my dog Angel. She is two years old (celebrating her 3rd on Sept. 14th). When I first met her, she was in the kennel at the pet store I used to work at. I took a liking to her almost instantly and I knew I had to find some way to convince my parents to let me get her (at that time we had a dog already) She was the most well-behaved dog in the place. The other maniacs would run around while I cleaned thier cages, but not her. She'd sit and watch me. The name Angel just stuck with her because of how she behaved with me. After lots and lots of begging to my parents (and a small intervention from my two aunts LOL) I was allowed to bring her home. ♥

This is our other dog, Molly. I don't know if I should be putting her up because she died a couple years ago. She reached that age where she was just not getting better from any vet care that was given. She had cancer all through her body and was just suffering so we had no other choice but to help her and put her to sleep. It was very sad. I miss her everyday because there will never be another one like her. I basically grew up with her...♥

So there you have it. Those are my babies. The only ones I didn't list were my hermit crab, Buddy and my baby Koi fish, Renji. Buddy will be 2 yrs old in August. When I first got him I went to hold him in my palm and he pinched me with that powerful claw of his. I swear I must've ripped off 4 layers of skin to get myself free. It hurt so bad and this happened just minutes after I bought him -.-; Now Renji is a little Koi fish that had his own tank, but it was getting hard to maintain so I took it down and decided to put him in my dad's fish tank with the other goldfish. Turns out he's being a little bully and picking on the others. It's sad though, he's giving the real Renji a bad rep lolol
