For those who don't know me already, I'm cardcaptorryoko, or CCR for short. I'm now 17 and... yeah, I'll get to that info later. I guess you could say I'm one of the "oldies" since I first joined theO back in August of 2003, and in October of that same year I started using my myO blog and I've (for the most part) been posting regularly there every since. Of course, that's not likely to change. Usually I'll post both here and on myO daily so that I can balance that blog and this one, unless for some reason due to laziness, tiredness, computer trouble or lack of computer access, I post on just one or the other one day. But usually I inform my readers in advance when I'll be gone for an extended period of time unless it's a sudden road trip or unexpected grounding. But that doesn't happen much, so yeah.

Now for the basic info about moi!

Ren: you should have done this in the first place.

CCR: -3- you weren't supposed to show up until later.

But anyway...

Alias: elsewhere on the net I go by either this username, a similar one, or Usagi Asakura. But here, just call me CCR.

Current Age: 17

Date of Birth: April 4

Occupation: high school student/aspiring manga artist/writer/lazy bum

Favorite Anime: Shaman King, Fullmetal Alchemist, D. Gray-Man, Slayers, and the list goes on and on and on... but those are my primary fandoms aside from Saiyuki, which to be honest I've more of a love/hate thing when it comes to that series.

Favorite Manga: same as above (not as much Saiyuki though due to nudity), as well as Fruits Basket, DNAngel, and I'll admit I occassionally read Naruto.

Notice/Warning: I do sometimes have "mini-fics" as I call them embedded in my post (example of such was earlier when Ren butted in earlier in this intro), so if you don't like that, tough. Also, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; in other words, I'm a "Mormon." If you have a problem with that, don't rub it in my face, please. I don't like to argue or fight.

I also, personally, do not like yaoi or yuri, but I have no problem whatsoever with people who do like it (heck, half of my friends from school are yaoi fangirls).

The makeshift friends list is down because I apparently screwed up on the coding (go figure) and it's almost 1 in the morning here as it is, so I'm tired with futzing with it right now!

Enjoy your stay!

Moku Youbi: Just Another Day

Translation for first part: Thursday.

Except I'm somewhat happy because my French grade is up toan 85 now! Hopefully it'll stay that way, though... the essay question on that quiz today, I wrote what she expected of me, but then it was only about two sentences (one was a run-on, though). I have a bad feeling my grade's just gonna keep fluctuating until I can get it stablized. Just like in Physics last year... great, just great.

Ren: well you passed French 1 with an A, but then apparently scraped by on a B in French 2. Maybe this is a sign that you shouldn't continue your French studies.

CCR: you're probably right. I should've conformed to the norm, so to speak, and taken Spanish instead. But then a lot of people in my home state are fluent in Spanish, and hardly anyone knows French... so the language barrier I can create with that if I ever needed to, say, vent in writing, but I don't want anyone reading over my shoulder (not that anyone can read my handwriting anyay, according to some people).

Ren: you hardly use it for that purpose, though. Heck, outside class you barely use it at all!

CCR: I know, but you never know! Besides, for all I know my math tutor in college ('cause we'll all know I'll need one) will be an exchange student from France or Quebec and won't be able to speak English well -

Ren: okay, we get it, stop making excuses.

CCR: okay...

So since yesterday was a really rushed post, to make up a bit for stuff that I missed that happened... catch-up time!

Yesterday, well, it was just another day for the most part. However, two things happened. First, Ri lent me her September issue of Shonen Jump, which had a preview for Ultimo in it. It seems really, really good so far, yet at the same time I'm kind of curious as to what direction they'll take with it. I can almost see a "hero gets raised by an old man and has to rediscover hsi/her powers" motif coming about.

Ed: almost?

CCR: was I talking to you?

Ed: no; just thought I'd put my two cents in is all.

CCR: okay, that's fine. Sorry I snapped; guess I'm a bit panicked that Dad's coming home tomorrow and he's on edge due to the prices rising at the laundromat down in Safford.

Second, I finally saw the rest of Soul Eater episode 21, and I'm currently working on 22 (they got the subs up early this week, yay!). Speaking of Soul Eater, Rae told me that Kana (another friend of ours) is supposedly up to episode 10 of the series so far. I don't know why she didn't tell me herself, but meh. But then she spoiled a bunch of stuff for Rae, so we gotta get her caught up ASAP... lot of fandom-missionary work going on here.

Jun: but I thought missionary work dealt with religion, didn't it?

Ren: yes, but she's invented a new term for bringing people into a certain fandom: "fandom-missionary."

Jun: oh... and another thing?

Ren: *rolls eyes* what now? I think Lavi already learned his lesson after last time -

Jun: I don't think that's the problem... Goku-san, for one reason or another, is clinging to my leg and begging me to make pot stickers.

Goku: please....? *using puppy dog eyes this time*

Ren: if I knew this would happen, I wouldn't have mentioned the recipe.

Jun: well... *leans in toward Ren's ear* Honestly, I didn't bring it. I completely forgot to ask Mom about it.

Ren: if you want him to let go anytime soon, better tell him that. *glances in Goku's direction*

Goku: *overheard the conversation* wait... there's no recipe? That means... no pot stickers?!

CCR: I believe that's what it means. ^^;

Jun: besides, I'm probably not event that good of a cook anyway.

Goku: .... .... .... *faints*

CCR: ... that was odd.

Ren: at least he isn't clinging to my sister's leg anymore.

CCR: true.

Well, not much else to say. Except to Tsubasa: if you're reading this, I asked Ri, and she does know DBSK. Not necessarily entirely obsessive fangirl over them, but she does know of them.

Sui Youbi: le semaine...

Translation for first part, Japanese to English: Wednesday. Translation for second part, French to English (this one's more or less approximate): the week...

... Is going by WAY TOO FAST! TT^TT And I gotta get that grade sheet signed tomorrow. I should've asked Mr. Best to sign it today. He said last week to "get these things done in advance." Then there's a French quiz tomorrow. Before I wouldn't be panicking, and yes, I have been studying my toosh off lately, but now she's saying we have to MEMORIZE the Dr & Mrs Vandertramp verbs (they're the only verbs aside from reflexive verbs that have etre as the helping verb instead of avoir in the passe compose... I gotta start using Word to add the accent marks. Ah well).

Ren: okay, your French panicking isn't anything new, and neither is your upcoming rant about how your scores on the driving simulations in Driver's Ed are getting progressively lower each time. Why not try explaining to them why you haven't posted the last couple of days?

CCR: what? All there is to explain there is that Monday we ended up being stuck at my hosue while my grandpa worked on fixing my computer for three hours, went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner (but my mom talked me out of cheesecake. It's probably for the better anyway, since... since... Mom thinks I really have gained most of the weight back that I lost back in November-January. So my driver's permit really should say 145 or 148 instead of 135.). We went to the mall afterwards, but it was closing. We didn't realize that it closes at six on Labor Day.

Tuesday, mutual, distance learning work, and the ever-so-rare French homework.

Today, just another day... and I gotta go to bed practically now so I can get up and not end up being so tired that I come home and take a nap straight away and blow off my distance learning work saying I can make up the hours tomorrow and Friday, maybe even Saturday. Until next time, ja ne!

Nichi Youbi: a Not-so-Typical Sunday

First off, I was the only one in the family that went to church today. Mom was so zonked it was unbelievable, my brother refused to get out of bed, and Andrew didn't have a ride since I had just been picked up by Kana's family right before he arrived at the house expecting to go to church.

Second, I fell asleep right after I got home for whatever reason. Then I got up around 2 pm or so, finished up the last few drawings in my old sketchbook (so I be starting out anew. I've transferred the old pics from the previous sketchbook into a binder though), and took some pictures. I also talked to my grandparents. Looks like my computer will probably be saved after all! =D ... but then that means I gotta wait another 8 months or so before even considering the option of a laptop.

Ren: can you be grateful for once that you're gonna be able to get your tablet back?

CCR: oh that too! YAY! ^_^ I'm happy now. I just gotta use one of my drawings or a default for a wallpaper now, at least while Dad's home, since he believes all free wallpapers from the Internet (including theOtaku) are laden with viruses and spyware and the like.

Ed: for once I think Ren's right... you need to show some gratitude.

CCR: I am, just I've got some mixed feelings about it too.

In other news -

Goku: wait... is that CAKE on the counter?! *_*

CCR: we're not gonna eat it yet.

Goku: darn... crushing a man's dreams.

Ren: so now the monkey is a man?

Goku: -_-... don't make me try and talk the DB/Z Goku into joining me in kicking your butt for that statement.

CCR: *rolls eyes* well, it is about the time of year for the really crazy stuff to happen around here.

Ren: tell me about it. By the way, my sister's on her way out here. Should be here sometime tomorrow afternoon.

CCR: great, right when my grandparents are likely to show up. Oh well, can't be helped. (once again, I'm glad for once this is fictional)

Goku: wait... Jun-san's coming tomorrow?

Ren: that's what I just said. And yes, she's bringing the pot sticker recipe.

Goku: SWEET! *bouncing off the walls in anticipation*

CCR: ... maybe we should let him outside.

Zelgadiss: and let the poor dogs deal with him?

CCR: ... you have a point there.

(Picture time, since I finally got them uploaded)
for Makademia: the finished product of the scythe... hopefully you read this post. ^^;

Do Youbi: Gah...

It's only seven and already I want to go to sleep...

Ren: that's probably because all you did today was watch a movie and run around at Peter Piper Pizza.

CCR: and put up with the constant fighting over what Rae's new kitten should be named (her dad brought him home this morning, supposedly). In some ways, I picked the wrong time to go over there.

But I've finally shown Rae the first episode of Soul Eater! We'll have to go at a pace of one ep. a week until winter break or something like that, but at least she seems interested. I also went with her family to see Wall-E. It actually wasn't that bad. And Disney has gotten better at teasing the audience. For a brief moment there, I really thought it wasn't gonna completely be a happy ending for once. Some of the previews were rather weird, though... I can already see they're gonna utterly destroy Desperaux just from the preview. That was a cute book too, dang it! But alas, it'll be but naught after Disney's through with it. I'll admit however that aside from the fact that Miley Cirus has a major role in it, I think Bolt sounds rather cute/interesting. But meh, I like kiddy, talking animal movies, what can I say?

Ren: the plot sounds awfully stereotypical and childish to me.

CCR: -_- party pooper.

Afterwards, we went to PPP (it was Shana's birthday yesterday, so that's why they did all this movie-going and party stuff). They... THEY DON'T HAVE WARHEADS ANYMORE!!! They say it's supposedly because they're too sour for the little kids. I guess I can understand that, but I don't know where you can find those things anymore... T^T In case you didn't know before, I'm a sucker for sour candy.

We got back to Rae's house, and all chaos broke loose from there. So we escaped to my house, I think Rae's more or less a Soul Eater fan now, and I'm exhausted. I feel sorry for that poor kitten, too... hopefully he can survive in a house where half the children are under the age of twelve. More than half, actaully. He looked so fragile and small, and...

Ed: you've got Train, remember? No chance you can have another cat around here.

CCR: true... especially since Train's had to remain an outdoor cat anyway since Dad's so anti-catlitter.

Meh, I'm gonna go to bed soon, or at least get some rest. This is wrong, I shouldn't be giving in to my tiredness so early in the evening! But it can't be helped. Until next time, ja ne!

Tiger pic 3 of 3 (and I'll ask my mom how to upload pictures from the camera to the computer again... and I gotta take pictures of the completed scythe now, I suppose.)

Kin Youbi: Keep Your Lamps

Translation for first part: Friday.

The second part is just me being random and the fact that I have the song of the same title stuck in my head right now because we practiced it in choir today.

While it's not nearly as bad today as it was last night (mostly thunder and lighting now), if we were in ancient Greece chances are people would be sacrificing to Zeus left and right thinking he was pissed off at them.

Ren: and why are you making an analogy to mythology?

CCR: *shrug*

Ren: ... can you stop working on that drawing for now and focus on posting this?

CCR: oh, right! Thanks for reminding me.

Ren: o.O; I know you're easily distracted, but...

CCR: what? I'm trying to get as many drawings done now since my sketchbook is in even worse shape than it was three weeks ago.

Anyway, just another school day pretty much. Main highlights were lunch (per usual) and... well, that was it. I took a nap after I got home from school, and I woke up to find out even though I thought I was gonna get rid of my brother this weekend (he was supposed to go on a camping trip), he got himself grounded for letting the dishes sit there for three days.

Ed: so he got his just desserts... wait, then why was he watching TV?!

CCR: Mom said he could. The grounding, apparently being enforced until further notice (she might even have him on for a month or more - and his birthday's coming up), is more or less just a house arrest it would seem. Speaking of Joe, where is he? Just as I thought, watching TV in his room.

Well, that's... pretty much it, I suppose. Until next time, ja ne!
