body found at pier
Today another body was found at the pier at 6:30AM. The officers at the scene say, "It looks like an accident, or possably a shark attack. The body was thrashed about pretty good and forensics is searching to find out if we have a murder on our hands or not.". This would be the third one found here this week, Chief Inspector, Robert Lorrane has issued a curfew for that particular area. "Three in one week is a bit much for me to feel safe, If there is no traffic here we maybe able to find the cause of these deaths and will be able to prevent them." was his offical words.
Statue Trouble!!!
Since Cannon City was first founded the statues of the angels have been watching over our peaceful city. Now, for the first time in Cannon history there are complaints comming in about them. "I don't know why they are complaining! Probably some frustrated athiest who wants every one to feel as bad as they do!" says Mr. Turgaan manager of the Mega-Mini grocery shop in center Cannon. "Every day i open shop and am glad to see St. Michael. Hell, even if your not of some faith, the statues are still nice to look at and bring the class to this town.".
Our reporters got an interveiw with one of the group and there opinion is nt as open minded as Mr. Turgaan. "It's deffinatly a new way for catholics to shove their unwanted religion down our throats!" says the ring leader of the group. "We should be free to walk around town with haveing to be choaked with this religion!". The group only seems focused on the angel statues, they are not mentioning anything about the gargoyles that watch the alley ways, or is it because they've never seen them.
The Town commity has decided to ignore this groups complaints of the statues.
"At first we wondered why this would happen and why now? But after hireing many P.I.s we foud that the group consists of people who do not live in Cannon. We do not know who put them up to it but we will do nothing, the statues are loved by the residents so we will not change a thing. Infact! we will be repainting and fixing them up.".

Haunting In Old Church?
Who could forget the old church we recived from our English friends?
It hasn't been in use for decades, or a century, because of unsafe building codes and the sad suicide of the pastor that stayed there. Lately there has been reports of lights moveing inside and shadow figures around the building.
"Maybe when they moved the church from England they moved the ghosts too." said Mary Kipper, a resedent near the old church and high school. "it's gotten more and more... intense in the last few weeks. I wonder if they can break out and get in our homes.". Not many are as superstitious as Mrs. Kipper, Officer Verona Rimerez gave her take on the situation. "yeah, I've been called out on reports of so called 'ghosts' but you have to be serious when thinking about it. The old church is right next to the east High school, the old church is never used nor checked on. Logic says that its just some mischievous teenagers breaking and entering. How ever the residents here would like a bit more fantastic things in their lives so saying it ghosts could be just the thing for them, but if they keep up these rumors there will deffinatly be more activity because then the kids want to see the haunting."
When we asked Chief Inspector Robert Lorrane, he said, "We don't have the time to be chaseing ghosts, we do not need these ridiculous calls comming in about 'demons' and 'ghosts' if you see a real crime report that and not lights and see through figures.".
