Reckoning : Question / Answer (1)

I am really glad that this idea is taking off so well with Nnoitra's thief. (Nice choice of personal items to go missing~ ) Now I am going to answer questions and get my part going. Part one is addressing the questions given me.

Questions:

1) Regarding Kita

2) Are the Gods fighting us?

3) How can we decide a winner?

4) Scoring

5) Who has knowledge of the past Reckoning?

6) Thief's role

1) Regarding Kita:

Kita is a seraph, a being that should have been impossible to find. An invisible watcher of humanity, she has died and been reborn for centuries, recording life for the Rulers above. Aizen finding and starting his plan to use Kita for his own gain is the final straw against the Gods and the Balance of the Worlds, beginning the Reckoning.

Kita is one of our main characters, therefore, the same rules apply to her as they do to the rest of the Bleach cast. She can't be killed. HOWEVER, where she and her position or power level can be altered. She is more changeable than the rest. Keep that in mind as we play.

The Gods are not using Kita as their weapon, but that is not the same as saying that the Gods will not be interested in the way she choose to live now that her memories have begun to return through force.

2) Are the Gods fighting us?

The Gods are putting their mark on the Realms again through their sheer power and ultimate knowledge. The shaping of the Realms reflects that. Some Gods will require violence and some Gods will seek something more, something deeper from the players they choose to test. The Games are for survival as well as demonstrate your right to continue living and controlling the realms, battles and mind games/ puzzles.

Are you worthy? Will you live through the fury?

(These Gods will be as varied as the Gods of mythology across the world.)

3) Winning?

This one I struggled with. I didn't think that far when I created this nebulous creation. After some thought, I realized that this answer is simple, at least, in its essence.

These are Gods. Do you think they really care which of the ants that survive win? Not really. Some will care more about certain kinds of people more than others. But as a whole, and in regards to the end, no, they don't. Their goal is to to fix the balance by taking out what they can without completely destroying the whole. It's like a tower of bricks where you slowly extract as many pieces as you can WITHOUT making it fall. At the end of this arc, Aizen won't be defeated. Sorry~ That's your job. The Gods' goal is to fix the imbalance.

When we get closer to the end, or I see that you are getting tired, I'll consider winning scenarios some more.

4) Scoring

Another piece of my madness that I struggled with. I am thinking along these lines:

This one mostly depends upon you, the RPers, and the Gods I create. The difficulty as well as the length of the Games will depend on how you interact with the characters I set loose, how creative your posts become. I want posts with some meat in them, details and effort.

Scoring, as in how many you win and how many you fail on, isn't going to matter. It may increase the level of danger to your person though.

The Gods are PLAYING with you. It's their rules and what matters to them.

If an RPer wants a bigger challenge, or the character you're playing wants more, impress me. I'll send something grand your way. *evil grin*

However, there will be a penalty for missing your due date to post (for no good reason). If you think it is going to be ordered chaos if you follow my outline, if you mess it up, it's going to start getting crazy. These are Gods. If you don't pay attention to them, they are going to MAKE you. Something else will occur ON TOP of the first event, and it may play with your laziness. There are going to be pieces of chaos going on as well as specific Games when things get going. If you can't stop the little ripples how will you last when a big wave is sent in your direction?

Along those lines, even if I can't kill you, I can make you wish you were dead. If you end up in a pile of chaos because you're missing posts, I can eliminate you for a bigger Game. And you don't want to miss those.

5) Who has knowledge of the past Reckoning?

Some characters are more knowledgeable than others. For each Realm, I think at least one person would have some knowledge of the past Reckoning.

Sousuke Aizen searches for power. I wouldn't be surprised if he found something like this in his search that yielded the Hougyoku, his trump card; how much he knows from the past will be up to Aizen. After all, it is a past event. Did he orchestrate this event of chaos to occur? Somehow I doubt he thought he would lose his Hougyoku. At the moment, he also has Kita, which may or may not add to his repoitoire, if he can get at her memories. I am not sure if Las Noches' own researcher, Syazel Aporrogranz, would recall anything.

In the Real World, Kisuke Urahara is a man of science as well as a man who learns knowledge for its sake. He also created the Hougyoku. If you've been paying attention, Urahara may already be hinting at what he knows from his stores of knowledge. Another possibility for knowledge, if we wish to exploit it, would be the Vizard leader, Shinji Hirako, who seems to be quite knowledgeable in his own right, as well as Ichigo's father, Isshin Kurosaki, IF we want to bring those characters in. Urahara should have enough, the clever hat'n clogs he is.

Finally, there is the Soul Society, where easily the oldest store of knowledge would be. The four oldest members of Soul Society are the Yamamoto, Unohana, Juushiro Ukitake, and Shunsui Kyouraku. Yamamoto (and Unohana) will have their hands full protecting Soul Society. In the manga, when knowledge is lacking, we often see Juushiro and Shunsui deep the archives pouring over old, undervalued records. The search is often started by Ukitake and Kyouraku asks the questions his friend doesn't want to ask.

Everyone will know what is going on after the disaster strikes, after three levels of preliminary madness, when the message is delivered to each Realm. Aizen, as we know, is up to something. Urahara, being the shrewd being he is, has begun to hint at gods' displeasure, but does he suspect a Reckoning as in the 'old' records or a search? Ukitake will disappear into records after receiving a premonition of his own and do some catch up after level two of the preliminary rounds.

The knowledge will give you some idea of what is to come. Most of the knowledge known I am going to leave up to those individuals; I may PM some details as warnings of what's to come, too.

5) Thief's role

Nnoitra and I are planning what happens after everything vanishes. That is all you need to know. For now ~

----

I am making a world on the Bleach Universe where this will be available as well as more important information once i have it all organized. Keep your eyes peeled for it.

If there are more questions, go ahead and ask. If you have it, someone else might too. There are no bad questions and no one is stupid, Ulquiorra.
