Welcome to my world
here you'll find...well let's face it you won't find much of anything, not many people pay attention to these places do they? lol
anyways, what you might find here are various thought from myself on random stuff...and also maybe some notices when I intend to change something, etc.

...yep that's about it, it's you'd still like to lurk look about, feel free.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2012, the Year of the Dragon (well, when the Chinese New Year comes XD)

it's funny, I don't believe in Zodiac predictions, etc. however I can't help but be happy it's my year again lol

Have a good year people, I may not be as active here in the future, but I wish you all the best, and I do plan on doing some fanart at some point, and that will definitely give me a reason to post here :)

*facedesk*

Okay...so there's this challenge I entered a LOOOONG time ago...I've been waiting and waiting for the judgement to be called on it, and after spending all the time I did to make my entry for it - http://www.theotaku.com/fanart/view/370690/it_will_be_me - I have a feeling it will never be decided >8C ...I'm trying to be patient but I'm not going to lie it's gotten a bit frustrating, does anybody know what happened to the host of that challenge?

I know life happens and all, and if there turns out to be a legit reason for keeping all the entrants waiting, than I can understand. But the fact is when someone holds a challenge, there's a little bit of a responsibility there to those who put in their effort and time to compete in your contest, I would have hoped we'd have gotten something, anything, even the tiniest note of why we've all been kept waiting for so long. I just want an explanation, if it's a reasonable one, like family problems, school, loss or internet, etc. fine I understand that completely, but if I ever find there's not a really legit reason, I'm gonna be a little pee'd off.
Honestly that entry was one of, if not the, longest and most complex project I've undertaken to date, and now it seems I won't even get to see if the work paid off or not. - rant over >:/

Would you Miss my Art?

sorry, sorry, I KNOW that title sounds unforgivably guilt-trippy, but it's an honest, viable question to my subscribers - If I were to pretty much stop submitting art on TheOtaku, would you miss seeing my work here?

No drama, just want to know, I use a lot of disc space to save separate, lower resolution versions of images to put on here, of which higher res versions of the same images can be seen on my deviantART account, and lately I've been feeling like I have increasing "irreconcilable differences" with TheOtaku. :/

what does that awkward relationship sort of term mean in this case?

Basically this place is a fanart/anime/manga site, I'm not a fan artist, I'm not the anime manga fan I used to be, and just my attachment to this place has faded a bit over this year.

so I've been thinking of no longer really submitting here and just keeping my submissions prettymuch deviantART-only.

If I go ahead and no longer prioritize submissions here, I won't actually close the account, I'll probably still check in once in a while in case people write to me, to check in on some of the people I subscribe to, maybe enter a challenge if it really strikes my interest, etc.
But I will generally no longer submit art or world posts, unless for one of the rare aforementioned challenges (I really do not enter many, just leaving that door open)

but otherwise I really prefer DA more than here. : if you wish to check out that account of mine, here it is : http://skygatecreations.deviantart.com/

...oh yeah...and random shepherd pup is random...lol

Skinny-a** Bishis...XP

yeah...so I know a lot of people like the long/lean none-too-masculine Bishi look, but seriously some of the illustrations I've seen of them (I can't name any specific series, I honestly don't know, just see them around sometimes), mainly the Shoujo Manga type stuff, makes them look downright unhealthy. o_O

like something about the skinny build, and sometimes the way it's shaded and how the eyes look, etc. they just look sickly or like they've been starved for a while, I'd be more compelled to give them a freakin' sandwich than fawn over them lol.
I just can't wrap my head around why that's supposed to be attractive :/ kind of creeps me out, sort of in the same vein as why I don't like uber-skinny, unhealthy looking female models.

mind you this is just my opinion of course, but I definitely prefer guys (and my fellow ladies for that matter) to have at least a little meat on their bones, just so they at least look healthy, ya know? (unless some hardship requires them to look otherwise) not that every character should be medium build etc, but there's a difference between a slender/small boned build (I like to call guys that are slim but still attractive "Thoroughbreds" XD) and unhealthy skinny. :I

...makes me glad again that I decided to go with the inconsistency error I made on a picture of Mikhail a long time ago and make him a bit thicker built.

anyways yeah, minor rant/observation over lol

I is a Learner :3

LOL translation - I went in for my written driver's test today, the result was one successful attempt, I now have my learner's permit, valid for one year, so here's to hoping by this time next year, I'll be on the road autonomously lol XD
