J-SOC: The Spearhead of US Special Forces

J-SOC or Joint Special Operations Command as it is known is the unit of command that most of the United States special forces units answer to. It is comprised of the 75th Ranger Regiment, US Navy SEALS including the Naval Special Warfare Development Group or seal team six as they are more commonly known, 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-DELTA, 24th Special Tactics Squadron, and the 160th Aviation division.

Army=
The 75th Ranger Regiment or Army Rangers are a special forces infantry division, capable of being anywhere in the world with in 24 hours. Their capabilities include conducting airborne and air assault operations, seizing key terrain such as airfields, destroying strategic facilities, and capturing or killing enemies of the nation. Rangers are capable of conducting squad through regimental size operations and are resourced to maintain exceptional proficiency, experience and readiness.

The 160th Aviation division, known as the Nightstalkers are the best helicopter pilots in the US Army and perhaps in the US military in general. a special operations unit of the United States Army that provides helicopter aviation support for general purpose forces and special operations forces. Its missions have included attack, assault, and reconnaissance, and are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice.

The 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-DELTA, SFOD-D for short or Delta Force as known publicly is the US army's Tier-1 Special Mission Unit. Delta is the Army's equivalent of the Navy's Seal Team Six, or the Air Force's 24th STS. Although versatile in every combat situation, SFOD-D specializes in Direct action, hostage rescue, and VIP extraction.

Navy=
The Navy seals, the US navy's Sea, Air, Land Teams, commonly known as the U.S. Navy SEALs, are the U.S. Navy's principal special operations force, broken down into 10 different teams, seal teams 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,10, and Seal vehicle delivery team 1. The Naval Special Warfare Development Group or DEV/GRU for short is the Navy counter part of the Army's SFOD-D and Air forces 24th STS. DEV/GRU specializes in maritime operations, but that doesn't mean they are not versatile.

AirForce=
The 24th Special Tactics Squadron is comprised of more than 800 Special Tactics combat controllers, para-rescuemen, special operations weathermen, tactical air control party and various support personnel. They are specifically organized, trained and equipped to execute a myriad of Special Operations missions to enhance air operations deep in enemy territory. They conduct personnel recovery missions, collect intelligence and provide terminal guidance for attacks against valuable enemy targets.
