Sometimes I think about all the problems everybody has and how sometimes we really feel trapped and lost.

We dont know where to turn or who to turn to. We run circles and worry and cry. Sometimes we just need to be lifted up and we need to BELIEVE that there is still hope and good somewhere nearby no matter how things are going now. Dont be discouraged and never give up or forget that everything happens for a reason and in the end everything will work out.

Sick Hopeful Little Girl

I volunteer at a Sunday School. I help teach little kids. Last year I taught 2nd graders. There is this one girl that is always quiet and never talks to anybody. Yet she is very inspirational. She usually just sits, watches and listens in class. She's a sweet and very kind but shy little girl. I found out a while ago that she suffers from seizures every now and then. I felt terrible thinking that this little girl is suffering so much. While I feeling bad for myself this amazing little kid is suffering with real ones and not stupid things like a fight with a friend.

One day the subject of her seizures came up and all the kids were asking what it was and what happens. I saw she got very upset at the subject. I told the kids to drop the subject and I puller her out asking if she was ok. She told she didn't want to see her mommy cry anymore when she was in the hospital and thats the only reason she hates the seizures. She told me that sometimes she thinks its her fault that she kept having them and its her fault everybody is sad. I wanted to cry looking at her and seeing how hurt she was but then she smiled at me. She told me "I dont mind being sick though. Sometimes we have to be hurting to understand that other people hurt too"

I realized just how right she was. She's suffered but shes still happy because she knows that so many people have it worse than her. She knows that her health is amazing compared to people elsewhere in the world.
For a little kid she is one of the smartest and most inspirational person I know. I'm glad I know her and I'm glad she helped teach me that very important lesson.

Next time you think you have it bad or you think that you're suffering remember that you're not the only one and that somewhere in the world a person would happily trade places with you.

Believe like the little girl that things are ok and that you are not alone. Remember that others are suffering too
