Life WIth A Water Allergy

I know what you are thinking... And you aren't the first, believe me. "HOW CAN YOU BE ALLERGIC TO WATER!?" "HOW DO YOU DRINK?" "HOW DO YOU BATHE!?"

Actually, this condition is not exactly a proper allergic reaction per-se. However, it does act like one. As soon as I get in water I come out in a burning, stabby rash within 3 to 15 minutes. It feels like you are on fire and you are being prodded by hot needles. It also makes my eyes puff and go very dry.

As you can see it's all on my chest, neck, upper arms, face and forehead. These pictures were taken after 4 minutes of being in the bath.

Can I take anything? No. Since it's not a true histamine reaction, anti-histamines don't work. I can't put creams on due to it being liquid and immunnotherapy is a no no.

What do I drink? Milk, boiled water (Tea, etc) and fruit juice. Tap water, or bottled is no good. It causes my throat to swell.

Showering/bathing is short and I gain no pleasure in it.

Crying causes my face to swell and being kissed makes me come out in a rash.
