Hi all! Elricz here with another post!
Not so much a comparison as me asking, what exactly is the difference between the two programs? I don't know much about SAI, only that it's a drawing program that got translated into English from Japanese and lots of members here use it to do digital artwork.
I primarily use Photoshop, for three reasons:
1. You can scan, modify, draw, etc. a drawing all in one program
2. Corel Painter Essentials on my laptop almost never works, even though it'd be fun to use
3. I don't have SAI
So... I'm asking you guys that use SAI or know how it works to explain to me how it works. Then I'll come back later and add a compare/contrast of the two below.
"But, Elricz, why didn't you just PM Temi-san or MangaKid and ask them?"
Well, I'd have done that, but I think both are insanely busy right now with school/work. Also, I'd like to get several opinions, see what a bunch of different people think. And you Photoshoppers are welcome to comment too, given I'm not too gifted with the program.
I guess once I've gotten responses and added the compare/contrast, it'll help others interested in digital artwork decide on a program that works best for them. And those that use Photoshop or SAI already might want to take a whack at the other program.
