Left Brain interrupting Right Brain

So in my Drawing I class, my professor is emphasizing the use of our right side of the brain. When we draw something, sometimes we just draw what we think it looks like in our minds. For example, a chair. We immediately think of the typical 4-legged furniture naturally because of our logical left brain. BUT, when faced with a not-so-typical set of chairs, you'll have to overcome the stubbornness of the left brain. For example, this contour drawing of a chaos of chairs LOL!

And another thing that doesn't have a definite stereotypical form? A crumpled piece of paper!

Of course, I ran out of time to finish this one in class, but you get what I mean! I encourage you all to ignore your left brain a bit while drawing and see the shapes instead of the actual subject. :)
