eka asked me to be a guest poster in this world because of my shading skills. To see my works, click here. I have a few tips about what to do when it comes to shading your artwork. It doesn't matter if you are using crayon, pencil, or colored pencil. These tips will work with anything.
When you shade work, start darker on the outside and slowly lighten until you get to the middle, then repeat the process backwards.
Use the side of the instrument. It makes it look more professional.
Shade in one general direction. Otherwise, your image won't look right.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND there ya go!

No this isn't my work. I just thought it looked good.
