Plot Summary - Sumimura Yoshimori, a 14-year-old junior high school boy, is a descendant of Kekkaishi, or an exterminator of monsters He is vying for the heir to the family with Yumikura Tokine. Tokine is older than him, and she is his childhood friend as well as his rival Kekkaishi. To save people from the crises, and to make himself stronger, Yoshimori fights against monsters tonight, too.
My First Impression - In the first episode, I could tell that this was more of an explaining episode. So do not take my rating to heart at all, because this review is solely based on the first episode. I can tell that the series does get better as it goes on, as the first episode is more of a flashback kind of thing. But anyways, on to the review! The drawings were pretty average; not horrible but not extremely detailed either. I really liked the plot, but at the moment it seems kind of simplistic. I did not like how young the characters were throughout the episodes, but I know the main story takes place when they are older, so that is alright. The action was pretty good, but mostly this episode was about explaining and getting yourself acquainted with the characters. So, not the most exciting episode you'll ever watch, but the series seems pretty good so far, and I am definitely curious as to what happens later on in the show!
