Pandora Hearts - Anime Review

Pandora Hearts, as requested by lapaperninja. :3 Just a heads up that I will not be doing reviews from Thursday to Monday of this week as I am going on a trip to Hawaii. ^^ Enjoy the review!

Title - Pandora Hearts

Episodes - 25

My Rating - 8 1/2

Genres - Adventure, Fantasy, Mystery

Themes
- Alice in Wonderland, Family, Monsters, Social Classes, Through the Looking Glass

Plot Summary
- Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. It is unknown why was he cast into Abyss, how does Alice factor into it all, and what does the organization known as "Pandora" want with him.

My First Impression - I actually really liked this anime, based on the first episode. While the beginning was somewhat slow (well, aren't the all?), the climax was amazing, and I loved the rising action. What tied it all together for me was the music the watch thingy produced, because I just love music boxes and that tune was really catchy! It was a bit confusing, what with the foreshadowing and absence of explanation, but I'm positive that further in the series everything will become clearer, and I do plan on finishing this series!

From Top Left to Bottom Right - Gilbert Nightray, Xerxes Break, Charlotte Baskerville, Oz Vessalius, Alice
