Hyakka Ryouran: Samurai Girls - Anime Review

Third, and last, anime review of the night! Since I had extra time, I decided to review this series for ya'll! Enjoy~ ^^

Title - Hyakka Ryƍran: Samurai Girls

Episodes - 12

My Rating - 7 1/2

Genre - Action, Romance

Themes - Ecchi, Samurai

Plot Summary - The story takes place in Japan in the early 21st century, in an alternate reality where the Tokugawa Shogunate has remained in power. In this reality, student councils are tasked with oppressing schools. Yagyuu Muneakira is a high school student who rebels against his student council with the help of girls who've had the names of famous samurai heroes passed on to them.

My First Impression - This anime was definitely different from others I've seen! From the very beginning it was very dramatic and intense, which I liked a lot. The graphics are different from anything else I've ever seen, but towards the scenery and backgrounds this is not a good thing. Definitely lots of fanservice! If you do not like this type of thing, be sure to watch the censored version. The fighting was very intriguing, but the storyline is unclear. I'm not sure what will happen later on in the series, but if you like action and romance animes I recommend this for you!
